I looked up to see a tall figure standing in front of me. He held his hand out and I took it. His hold was firm yet gentle for my delicate hands. And with his help, I was able to stand.

"Thank you," I said. I wiped the dirt from my clothes and began walking. He grabbed me by the shoulder which forced me to stop.

"I asked who you were." He said with a very stern tone. His grip on my shoulder got even more complex. I felt pain seer through my shoulder as he increased the pressure he was putting on his grip. He sounded like a machine that did not know emotions.

"I won't ask again" He held me tight and wasn't able to move out of his grip. He pressed down on my shoulder. Pain seared through my whole body and that was when I heard a crack on my shoulder. I let out a small whimper. Tears started to form in my eyes as my vision got blurry in the darkness.

"You're hurting me," I said with a pleading voice. That did not seem to deter him. He grabbed my elbow and pulled me closer to him.

"Who are you?" He asked again. I struggled out of his grip but it was futile. Just then, the street light beside the road lit up, and I could see my aggressor. I was stunned to see the most beautiful face I have ever seen. He had the greenest eyes that I have ever seen. He tied his hair in a messy bun that left a few strands to fall on his face. He clenched his jaw eyeing me as if he regretted what he did. He raised his head as if he was contemplating something that was when I noticed the scar. He had a long diagonal scar that started from the right eye up to his left cheek. The scar made him look like a savage but oddly enough I thought it made him more appealing to my eyes. He let go of my elbow and clenched his free hand into a fist. It looked as if he was fighting the urge to do something. I had this sudden urge to appease him. I stretched my now free hand towards his face and cupped his cheek. He looked down at me with wide eyes not expecting this gesture. His piercing green eyes stared through me as if he was looking at my soul. He scanned my face once more looking for an answer to my actions and I stared right back. He sighed and released my now sore shoulder. Still cupping his cheek I smiled at him.

"I am sorry for not answering your question, but how can I answer when you are hostile to me?" I asked him. What was wrong with me? He hurt me and yet I was here polite and caring towards him. Was I drugged or something? He seemed to notice my confusion and smiled.

"I finally found you," He said with a smile. What did he mean by that? I took a step back out of fear and he took a step toward me. He raised his head with a smile and looked down at me. I could see genuine happiness in his eyes. As I stared at him a weird yet familiar feeling started to overpower the feeling of fear. He let out a small laugh and cupped my cheek.

"I am sorry if I scared you but if you are willing to listen I will explain to you what I mean." He said. Explain what? That was more confusing. I took another step back and turned away from him. I still had a mission. I cannot trust him for all I know this can still be a part of Cane's plan. A shiver ran through my body as I thought of my now ex-best friend. I sprinted towards the entrance with the hope that I would get out of there.

"Eyllah!" I heard a voice shout my name. Have they found me? Fear ran through my veins. I ran as fast as I could. I cannot let them catch me. Just then a hand grabbed my wrist and spun me around. I let out a scream and started fighting my aggressor.

"Hey, relax it is just me. I am not going to hurt you. I will never do anything to hurt you." The voice said. I opened my eyes and saw it was him again. He released me once he saw that I was calm.

"I am sorry that we met this way. I want to make amends. Ask me anything." He said. Really! This was not the right time for this bullshit I almost got raped or whatever they were planning to do to me.

"Hey listen. Could you give me a ride back home?" I asked him. This might be a foolish idea but I had to get out of here. Trusting a total stranger was the last thing in my mind but he is my only option. He can't be that bad. I try to convince myself.

"Why? The party has not yet reached its peak." He smiled at me. He must be with Zander. I made a big mistake. Something kept pushing me closer to him. It was like I knew him. Something was pushing me to trust him.

"Please, can you take me home? We can talk in the car. Please" I pleaded with him. I took his hand and started dragging him towards the entrance.

"Hey, could you please stop!" I turned towards him with frustration. I did not want to stop not now.

"No, it's just that it would be easier if I take you home in a car." He said. That made more sense. He directed me towards a huge shelter that I assumed that it was the garage.

"Wait here." I stood at the entrance of the garage as he went for what assumed was his car and got in.

"You can get in now. I can take you home." I was so relieved. I ran towards the car and hopped in the front seat. I fastened my seatbelt and we drove off.
