45th SS - Divine Records: Space Pt.2 (End)

Upon reading the text in front of him, Yufei couldn't help but reveal a look of confusion. "Wait what? I have to learn martial arts before I can advance into the next section of black and white rooms? What gives?!"

The world border kept silent.

"Tch, at least give me a sign, damn it." Gritting his teeth, Yufei had no choice but to give up.

The world border remained silent.

Unable to get a single clue from the world border, Yufei walked back to the small stream he first appeared next to.

"Man, this sucks…I haven't learned how to control my breathing yet, much less learn martial arts. The requirements are ridiculous!" Yufei grumbled within his heart.

Although Yufei was depressed after finding out the bullpoop requirements needed to move on to the next stage, he didn't remain depressed for long.

With the hope of quickly leaving this mysterious space etched within his heart, Yufei imitated various forms of martial arts he remembered from when he was still getting beaten up by Yangwei.

One by one, days passed by as Yufei continued to imitate martial art stances and attacks as well as try to understand their respective lore.

"Crouching Tiger Stance of the Shaolin Temple…To hunt a prey like the king of the jungle, one must first possess the calmness of an ancient well, still for centuries without even the slightest ripples…the tiger remains in his crouching pose for as long as his prey remains moving. Patience is the key to this stance."

"Next, Void Sect's Flying Crane Punch…"

Although Yangwei has always been an arrogant child, he's not stupid. He has done a lot of research regarding the various martial arts that exist within the current jianghu.

Besides Yangwei, only the head of the orthodox faction would have such vast knowledge about martial arts.

Yufei couldn't help but laugh a little when he thought about how he might escape his current hell thanks to being bullied. He wasn't going insane, he was just thinking that it was a little ironic to say the least.

He had initially wanted to stay in this mysterious space for eternity to escape his old hell.

When he found out the true meaning of his new reality however, he immediately wished he could return to his old haven instead of staying in this hell hole.

After spending 140 days in the forest room learning and practicing martial arts, a quest log appeared before Yufei.

Of the 3 requirements that needed Yufei to complete before he could move on…Requiring one to be a 3rd rate martial artist has been ticked off.

Yufei couldn't believe it.

If anyone heard of Yufei's progress, they too wouldn't believe it.

Yufei had used less than four months of time to learn martial arts and become a 3rd rate martial artist. Nonetheless, Yufei took several deep breaths to calm his beating heart down and regain his chill.

"Complacency is the main cause for an expert's skills to deteriorate. Sometimes even costing their lives for being overly confident. I've merely passed the bar to become a 3rd rate martial artist, it does not mean I can face a real 3rd rate martial artist that has honed their skills for at least 10 years."

Several days after becoming a 3rd rate martial artist, the quest log appeared before Yufei again with another requirement ticked off.

Yufei, of course, remained indifferent to his own achievements. He continued to hone his martial arts to the point of perfection before he tried to comprehend the third requirement needed to enter the next room.

***

Yufei was now 16 years old. 6 years have passed since he created a small valley with his bare hands and became a 2nd rate martial artist.

The quest log has yet to appear within these 6 years, giving Yufei confirmation that he has yet to create a forest type martial art using his own perceptions of the martial way.

Despite that small little failure, as a veteran 2nd rate martial artist who has honed his craft for the past six years, Yufei was now able to shatter the earth and split the sky with ease.

"Crouching tiger, flying crane…Jade Art's 1st form, Sleeping Dragon."

Yufei made a claw with his right hand while he rolled his left hand into a fist. Crouching down like a tiger, Yufei locked his gaze on one of his self made stone statues before making his attack.

He poured a good amount of strength into his back leg so that when his back leg pushed his body off the ground, Yufei would fly towards the target quickly, akin to a crane having locked its eyes on a fish and did not want the fish to swim away.

When Yufei got close to the stone statue, he immediately threw an uppercut with his left hand towards the stone statue, blowing a hole through the stone statue's chest with ease.

But just before his feet were about to touch the ground, Yufei grabbed a hold of the momentum his left fist made and switched up his stance mid-flight into his Jade Art's 2nd form, Dragon Tail.

While his hand was still in the shape of a tiger claw, Yufei kicked the head of the stone statue with his front left leg to not only do damage to the statue, but to also open up distance between him and the target.

Yufei ended his combo attack by landing on the ground with his right leg while his left leg remained in a guard position. This was Yufei's Jade Art 3rd form, Awakened Dragon.

[Ding! All requirements have been completed. You may now move on to the next room. Have fun~]

Just then, a new string of words appeared before Yufei, letting him know that he has cleared all requirements needed to enter the next set of rooms.

"But…I haven't even completed my own forest type martial art." Yufei asked in confusion. He had already spent 6 years trying to perfect his own Jade Arts, much less try to create a new martial art based on the forest.

He couldn't help but feel cheated. Unless, did the room count his Jade Arts as a forest type martial art? That was the only explanation Yufei could uncover himself since the room remained silent after notifying him of his success.

Not wanting to waste too much time comprehending useless thoughts, Yufei decided to accept reality and move on.

Just as Yufei turned 21 years old, he had unknowingly passed through every room that existed within the mysterious space.

Feeling the warm sunlight caressed his skin for the first time in 11 years, Yufei couldn't help but shed tears of joy. He was finally free from that insanity.

"Now that I'm free from that hell, I should repay my dues to the Yangmen Chamber of Commerce. In whatever ways their young master treated me is how I will repay them back a hundred folds." Yufei smiled as he looked towards the horizon with an expectant gaze.
