The Maid and The Fallen Angel(Rewrite)

Chiron explained that the tree was poisoned and as such the wards around the whole camp were beginning to weaken. Kurayami could feel that himself. Even a rank-and-file Angel could bust their way in here.

"Even the weakest of Fallen Angels could bust their way through. My question is how did you let this happen? I told you about Luke directly last time I was here. What gives?"

Chiron gritted his teeth but did not deny it.

"That is your fault as well."

"Mine?"

Chiron nodded.

"The oracle said Clarise was supposed to be the one to head off to save the tree, but someone took her along with several demigods. The gods are pissed and want their children back. They have demanded that you return them at once.

Kurayami was not about to comply.

"We gave the kids their choice and most of them never met their parents. They hold no loyalty or love to them. We were the ones to train them to unlock the godly powers that you all kept sealed from them."

Chiron opened his eyes wide as that was a secret. He looked at Percy who was shocked as he looked at him for answers. Chiron did not know what to say as it was true. The gods knew if they left their kids free for too much time they might rise against them.

As such most of their power was sealed away, but Athena had unsealed that power for Annabeth. One day in the future, Annabeth might become someone as terrifying as her mother.

"Keep it quiet, please. More and more kids ask about how they can join Grigori if they hear they can become gods they will all defect."

Kurayami opened his mouth as he was going to yell out to the whole camp what the gods were doing. Chiron sighed and looked at him with fear in his eyes.

"What do you want?"

Kurayami had a good idea.

"Nothing. I will walk around and see if I can't recrui-I mean befriend some."

Once Kurayami was gone, Chiron slammed his hoof down on the ground causing Percy to flinch. Knowing that his powers were being sealed did not make him feel good. He walked away with a frown as he started to consider going to Grigori.

He could call his mother who could get Shemhazai to pick him up. He was still getting used to the fact that his new stepfather was such a high-ranking Fallen Angel, but that came with perks.

'Mom did say she wanted me to go with her.'

As for Chiron, he was tocked off.

"Damn, that boy. Does he think we are a store he can just pick out the ones he wants?"

He looked at Kurayami as he approached the dying tree and looked it over. He placed his hand on it and focused on it and found that it was poisoned. More specifically, he could sense the soul contained within.

'The story was that Zeus turned his only daughter of this time into a tree to save her life. He could have just healed her.'

As he walked near he sniffed the air and found a truly potent toxin in the earth and tree. He kneeled and took a clump of soil which he sniffed.

"Dragon?"

Chiron nodded as he walked behind him.

"The venom is from Python, a dragon born from Gaea herself

"It's potent and valuable."

"Unbelievably valuable and even deadlier."

Kurayami stood up and walked toward the tree. He placed his hand on the trunk and the ground before closing his eyes. Shin seemed to copy him and close his eyes as well and they both focused on this.

From Kurayami, a wave of mana entered the tree and earth. Chiron watched in awe as slowly he lifted his hands as he drew out the toxin. In both his hands small drops of a glowing toxin gathered.

The more he pulled his hands away from the ground and tree the more of the toxin he gathered. When his hands finally touched he had gathered only a couple drops. He gazed at the toxin which he could gift to Azazel to refine into a potent potion.

What it would do, he did not know, but it just might work. From the black cross on his neck, he pulled out a vial and stored the poison away.

"There we are. The tree should not get worse from here on, but it still needs healing."

Chiron smiled as he heard that.

"Thank the gods. We owe you a debt."

Kurayami looked to the sky and yelled a challenge.

"HERE THAT ZEUS! YOU OWE ME ONE!"

His yell echoed through the valley and beyond with the power of his enhanced lungs. In Olympus, Zeus was sitting on his throne spending his time relaxing and recovering his power. When he heard Kurayami's words, he was pissed.

'Azrael and his entire line are a plague. Just you wait.'

Regardless, left the Chiron and the tree and began to walk around the camp. All the while Aurora and Shin just jumped after each other in a cute wrestling match. They were the same size so it was fair.

As he was walking he saw a group of pretty girls who seemed a little sad. He was going to walk past them but it seemed Shin took after dogs. Shin ran over and jumped in on their group. The girls perked up and one picked up Shin.

"Hello, little one. Where did you come from?"

Kurayami walked over and the girls felt he was quite handsome. His features were quite attractive as while his mother was Japanese, his father was a Fallen who all were mostly Caucasian.

The more wings he gained the more his features refined themselves and at this point you could say he was the perfect blend of both.

"He is mine."

They passed the happy pup around as he was a big bundle of joy, but one saw Aurora. She was not like Shin, but she could feel they were down so she allowed them to pet her.

One girl with black curly hair tried to pet Aurora, and was allowed. As for the girl carrying Shin asked him about his name.

"What is his name?"

"Shin."

The girl looked at the purple and gold cross on Shin's neck and poked it. Shin lifted his neck to show off his cool cross as he liked it.

"Are you Christian? Aren't you a Fallen Angel? I would think you would hate God as you fell from Heaven."

He shook his head.

"I didn't Fall from Heaven, my Father did. I also don't hate God, but we do wear crosses for specific reasons. On another note why are you so down?"

The girls all looked down and the one with Shin explained.

"Luke has betrayed the gods and he poisoned the tree. If the tree died, the wards will all fall with it. Me and my siblings are not fighters and can't do a thing about it."

He took Shin in his hands and stroked his fur.

"In that case I have good news. I managed to draw out the poison of the tree so it won't get worse. Though, it will take a while to get better."

Hearing the good news she and her sisters cheered. That was the first good news they heard in a while.

"Thank you Kurayami. That was your name right?"

He nodded.

"It is. What is your name?"

"My name is Silena Beauregard, daughter of Aphrodite. We all wish to thank you for the help you have given us."

"It's no trouble at all."

He sat down with the girls and had a thoughtful look. It was true that they were not good fighters, but maybe they could be good mages. He was going to offer them a place, but Chiron appeared behind him.

The girls looked behind at Chiron who was looking at Kurayami annoyed.

"Mr. Chiron, what wrong? He didn't do anything."

Another girl with a tan skin color also seemed to stand up for him.

"Yeah. He even helped Thalia's tree."

Chiron looked at Shin who looked smug and had a thought.

"Girls, I am not mad or trying to get him in trouble. I just wanted to ask if he offers you to go with him don't accept."

Silena turned to Kurayami. She pulled out the Grigori card from her pocket as she still had it.

"I remember that day. Azrael came and took over 30 campers. Are they all ok?'

He nodded and became a salesman.

"Clarise and her brother Jack were just sent on a mission, the rest when they get stronger will be able to go as well. They are even tapping into more power from their parents you know. We gave them what we offered on the card."

He picked up Shin and Aurora and dismissed himself.

"I should go. I only wanted to check up on the place."

Silena smiled.

"Thank you once again. Will we see you or Shin again?"

He nodded.

"Sure thing."

Chiron nodded and wished him safe travels. This time, Kurayami decided to open a random teleport circle. He wondered where he would appear in Japan. When he did appear he glanced around as he had appeared in the middle of the street.

Instantly the humans acted as if nothing happened and the cameras could not pick him up. He expanded his Mana Sense and realized where he was.

"Seems I am straight in enemy territory. Kuoh of all places."

He started to walk around the town. As he walked he hid his presence from the wards put in places, but he was not hiding fully. Soon enough, he began to be tailed He knew the one tailing him had to be pretty strong, but he was not afraid in the least.

At this point in his life, only a few Devils could resist his power. He was just their antithesis as he was a Holy Death Mage. Just as he expanded his senses again he felt the presence of a sacred gear.

He began to go towards it as he was interested in who had it and what it was.

'This one is odd. The user has zero magic or skill. No wonder they went over most of Azazel's searches.'

Before he got there he was stopped by a woman in a maid outfit who stepped out in front of him. She was tall as she was the height of Akeno, but she was still growing making her 5'8. She had silver hair, red eyes, and a massive pool of Demonic Power.

As for Grayfia, she felt unnerved both by the puppy with the cross on his neck and by the man with it. He was tall and looked to be around 20 years old and when she tried to probe his power she could feel an ocean of mana bubbling away under the surface.

"Who are you and why are you here?"

Kurayami did not answer. Instead, he put down Shin but kept Aurora in his hands. He looked at the maid in front of him and he had to say she was very beautiful.

'A virgin? Odd at her age.'

"Why are you wearing a maid outfit? It is a little demeaning to someone of your power. I also thought women in this time period did not need to become maids anymore."

She felt her anger rise as she took pride in being a maid. It was passed down from her mother after all.

"If you don't start talking we will be at an impasse. This is the territory of the Gremory clan and I will do my job if need be."

A tidal wave of Demonic Power burst from her as the very air began to turn cold. She was not in the Ultimate class but in the Satan Class. He knew she was strong making his battle intent spike.

He clashed back with his mana and his intent alone which started to push back her power. He and Ares had fought nearly every week and that had turned him into a much more skilled fighter than before.

Just then, Shin began to growl.

*GROOOOLLLLL*

Shin may be small, but it was only a matter of time for him to grow bigger and stronger. From Kurayami's body, Holy Lightning began to thunder from him. Holy flames burst from his body as he showed his Devil-destroying abilities.

'Holy Lightning and Fire? Not good."

"Incinerate Anthem. Kurayami Himejima, son of Baraqiel."

"The one and only Grayfia Lucifuge."

He focused on the created shadows and from them extended swords, spears, axes, halberds, glaives, and scythes. Graifya squinted her eyes watching him with pure seriousness. She was ready to die and take him with her if it came to that.

'No. It is not Incinerate Anthem anymore. The dog and a cross.'

Her eyes went wide open as she knew what happened.

"You have two Longinous. Impossible."

His expression didn't change, but his eyes began to darken.

"Seems you are no fool."

He extended his hand toward her which made her prepare for battle. However, unexpectedly, he dispersed his magic.

"I rather not fight you Grayfia. At our level of power, the entirety of Japan and more will be dragged into the mix. I will win in the end but risk starting a war with Devils and the Shinto gods. You are lucky."

"Then why are you even here? This town is run by Devils under the Gremory family. This will be seen as a provocation as you enter our borders.

"I was experimenting with spatial magic and it teleported me here."

He was not lying, but would she believe him? She frowned ready to attack him if he tried to attack her. However, he spread his wings, and seeing 10 black wings made her shocked. Only the Cadre of Grigori had 10 wings, meaning he was a second-generation Cadre.

Seeing that Grigori managed to raise a new Cadre fallen is a feat on its own. She had to tell Sirzechs that one of Grigori had this much potential. Before he left he gave one last bit of information.

"Before I leave, I will leave you with this. We at Grigori are not looking for a war, but we are ready for one and primed to win. How about you? What is your people's stance on this war?"

She spoke up with no fear.

"We do not seek a war either. All our people are in recovery and a war now will leave us vulnerable."

"True. I can say it was good to meet you, Grayfia."

She squinted her eyes as she decided something.

"Wait a minute. If you are here now, let's talk. Our people rarely have a chance to just talk. It might be a way to open new horizons and find a means to peace. We all need peace."

'Could be interesting.

He retracted his wings and landed on the ground. He sat down on a bench as they were in a park.

"Sure then."

She walked over and sat next to him, but both were ready to attack if they moved wrong. Grayfia could sense that while he seemed relaxed, he was ready to kill her if she did something.

"What do you have to tell me Queen of Sirzechs?"

"Kurayami was it, I have heard talk about you in recent times. There is word that you are the new trump card of Grigori."

"Close. I would be, but I am only a Cadre, not even a Seraph let alone above. Not like my grandfather Law Azrael."

Hearing that dreaded name made her realize he let it slip for a reason.

'Azrael has returned.'

"He is back?"

He nodded as he ran a hand down Shin's back.

"He is and he is the trump card of Grigori, but this is not about our trump cards as you have Sirzechs and Ajuka. This is about peace is it not? I will ask it myself, as the next Governor-General do you want peace?"

Grafia thought about it. Thought of the death of her Father, her mother, her sister, and so many more names.

"I do. We all wish for peace, but some older people among us want peace through total victory. Not an agreement, but why is Azazel retiring?"

"He is lazy and he has never liked war to begin with. If we have peace he will have more time to brew alcohol and experiment on whatever gets into his mind. I do not mind it much as his obsession is a gift. If I am taking over my first goal is to make peace with Heaven and the Devils. If that can't be achieved, bring victory to my race.

I think that is understandable to all, isn't it, but I don't want ash for a world. That would go against what I desire.

"I agree with you Kurayami. This war has been going on since even before our time. Our leaders are dead, an this resulted in the near-extinction of our races. Peace would ensure our survival and prosperity."

He nodded.

"Well, not all are so willing. In Grigori, some oldies still crave war like Kokabiel. I bet there are those among the Devils that are the same. I do not think that Sirzechs or the current satans want that, do they?"

She shook her head as neither of the 4 current Devil Kings wanted to fight a war again. They did that in the Civil War and that was brutal enough. If he could ensure peace maybe things would be better.

"What do you propose next Governor-General?"

He began to ponder on this what would ensure peace the best?

"Two things come to mind. A total cease-fire is assured through contracts or something much more binding. A marriage agreement between both factions."

She thought about it and if two high-ranking members of both sides married things might be easier. She did not consider herself at all even though she was single.

"It might work."

"This will be a long process as we have been at war for thousands of years. We can talk at a later date. One on neutral ground as I truly intruded on your territory by mistake. Think over my offer a bit, I do hold considerable say in Grigori as the future head. It was a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

He held his hand out which she took and shook. He left behind a means to talk to him through magic, which would be useful. She had caught his eye this time around. he needed a good maid in the future and if she was single why not take her?

He teleported away, but he did not leave Kuoh He had something to claim before then. Grayfia watched where he used to stand and decided to place her faith in the future head. If he was serious this war could end at long last.
