The Boosted Gear(Rewrite)

When he left Grayfia he went after the sacred gear he felt. He wondered how someone with no talent could hold such a treasure. He knew whoever had it did not deserve such a treasure so he was going to take it for someone worthy.

Vali came to mind as he was his rival and friend. Making him stronger seemed worth the investment. For the moment he focused on the kid with the Boosted Gear. He sunk into the shadows of the house appeared behind the boy and focused on the kid. The power he felt came from his left hand so he decided to take it.

He drew Submisison and severed the boy's arm at the elbow causing it to fall to the ground. Issei was instantly stunned at the pain and as he lost his sacred gear he seemingly died in a pool of blood.

Kurayami reached out and caught the arm and stopped it from returning to the Heaven System. The arm became a red gauntlet which he was tempted to try and absorb it, but Shin bit his leg.

It barked telling him that he could not take in any more sacred gears. Two was the limit for his soul and body and another Longinus would kill him. And that was with his super strong soul.

"I can give this to Vali. You can thank me later Vali."

He lied down on the bed looking at the red gauntlet and was thinking if Vali could take it.

"Vali is one of the few people I call friend, but can he survive something that I struggled with."

Submission did not think so.

"I would not risk it, Master. Your soul was been grown through slaughter and is beyond resilient. Even with the aid of Albion and his heritage, Vali could die."

Rebellion seconded that.

"It would take a miracle, but if he survives, he will become an even stronger rival."

"True."

He got off the bed and walked toward the corpse. Before he left he cut off his head with Rebellion and stabbed Submission into his heart. Nothing could survive after he killed them. And he already felt the soul of the kid be eaten by his own.

'Truly weak.'

He blasted the corpse with his flames reducing it to ash. He could sense the parents in the other room so he mind wiped them of his existence. He left soon after to Azazel's lab where he showed off the still bleeding gauntlet. Azazel rushed up as he recognized it.

"I don't know how you got this and I don't care."

Kurayami explained anyway.

"It was in Kuoh town. The host was so weak that he had barely any magic in him. It was why your searchers missed him."

Azazel nodded as it explained why his men missed it.

"Kuoh was the same town we got the other boy. The previous host of Absorption Line. Not bad Kurayami."

Kurayami looked at the Gauntlet in his hands and was conflicted about what to do with it.

"Should we give it to Vali?"

Azazel sat down to ponder and he gave his answer.

"It is too risky, it will kill him if he tries to do it."

"Try to find a way anyway. Give him a chance, I know he will survive and tame the Boosted Gear."

Azazel looked at him with a deep scowl on his face. This was not an easy decision for him. if Kurayami was wrong he would lose his son and Divine Dividing. Azazel sighed as he looked at the gauntlet.

"I will give it a shot, however, I will ensure things go well.

Kurayami nodded.

"I don't want him to die, I want him to grow from this. Also, I got some good news for you."

Azazel looked at the gauntlet confused.

"Isn't this the good news?"

Kurayami shook his head.

"No, while I was in Kuoh town I came in contact with Grayfia the queen of Sirzechs. We spoke for a bit longer. She knows who I am and now she knows I am the next head of Grigori. She knows we want peace and will contact us soon."

Azazel smiled as he looked at Kurayami.

"You know what, thank you. This will speed up the peace talks I have been trying to get."

Kurayami gave his idea of how things will go.

"We either will have pacts or a marriage. Devils are all about that stuff."

Azazel raised an eyebrow.

"Who will we marry off? You?"

Kurayami was honest about it.

"Maybe. I can say that Grayfia caught my eye. I do need a maid after all and from the look of it it is her kink."

Azazel patted Kurayami on the shoulder with a smile.

"If I did not know you were Baraqiel's son I would think you were my child. Well done, when they come knocking I will offer you then. Consider me your wingman this time."

Kurayami now wanted to ask why his sacred gears fused nearly perfectly while Boosted Gear and Divine Dividing were going to be more dangerous. When Azazel heard his question he explained why he was worried about it.

"The thing is that the Red and White dragons are total opposites and will be hard to fuse. Canis Lycaon and Incinerate Anthem don't oppose each other as it was a holy blade before being turned into Shin."

Kurayami looked at it and wiped off the blood of the gauntlet.

"Do your best or find someone else for it. As for Augusta, her Night Reflection Cross will be given to Akeno."

"That seems fine. Just leave it with me and we will seal it so it does not go back to the Heaven System. Akeno has crazy potential, but not having a sacred gear is quite a drag. Your entire team minus Kuroka has sacred gears. Night Reflection Cross seems a good fit for her. Just find it."

That was the biggest issue that transferring a sacred gear could result in rejection, but with time and Azazel's smarts, it could be avoided. Kurayami handed it over.

"You better not take it for yourself."

Azazel grinned and showed off his new Dragon Spear. New and improved as most of the old issues were fixed.

"I am improving at a fast rate. If things go well it will be finished by the end of the year. If I study the gauntlet maybe sooner."

"Azazel, you think Tiamat will accept a pact with me?"

Azazel held his head and nodded.

"You got a Nemean Lion, Canis Lycaon, Tyrant who will become a dragon in the future, an immortal horse, and Ulrik. Now you want a dragon king. When will it be enough for you?"

Kurayami shrugged.

"I just like having interesting creatures. You think Aurora will be stronger than Regulus in the future?"

Azazel looked at the small lioness who was already different from every other Nemean Lion.

"Without a doubt. You already got a few potential Longinus with you."

Kurayami decided to return home and face his mother.

"Wish me luck Azazel. Mom will not be happy I ditched her scolding."

Azazel began to pray.

"Oh dear father who is dead. I know I was always bad, but have mercy on the soul of this boy. He owes me so much for the food of his pets and if he dies I will get his soul back from where it was and turn him into a sacred gear. Plus who will take my place?"

Kurayami flipped Azazel off.

"I'm not going to die, asshole. Looks like I am going to get many new pets and they all are going to need plenty of good expensive food. Good thing my backer Azazel will help his best friend."

Azazel frowned and squinted his eyes.

"You wouldn't dare."

Kurayami brought out a paper list of interesting creatures and when he opened it, it reached the floor.

"A Terror Scorpion. I hear they need to eat a lot. They also grow slowly."

Azazel flinched and relented.

"Don't get anymore. Just feeding Aurora, Tyrant, Ulrik and the rest is expensive as it is. Luckily your horse just munches on grass."

Kurayami put his list away.

"Stingy, but fine."

He left Azazel after and went to get Akeno and knew he would have to track Augusta down. All the while Azazel decided to call Vali when he returned with Kouki. He decided to do as Kurayami suggested and find a way to make it compatible with Divine Dividing.

10 minutes after Kurayami left Vali entered the same lab dragging an unconscious guy by his shirt. The poor guy's face was bruised and the small white cat on his head showed he got his sacred gear.

When Azazel saw him he nodded and went back to the Boosted Gear as it was time for him to start to research how to get Vali to fuse with it perfectly. He looked up at the bruised guy and asked about him.

"Kouki?"

Vali nodded and from a small white dragon doll on his shoulder spoke Albion.

"I feel Draig, where is he?"

Azazel pointed at the Boosted Gear in a special glass case. Vali looked it over and grinned.

"Kurayami?"

Azazel nodded.

"He wants you to have it."

Vali's eyes went wide open as he looked at the Red Gauntlet and thought of Kurayami.

"Me?"

Azazel nodded.

"You are his friend and he is determined to have you grow stronger."

Vali looked at the gauntlet and nodded at Azazel.

"I agree."

Albion spoke again to get that stupid idea out of his head.

"Vali. That won't work. I and Ddraig are total opposites and you will either die or burn your lifeforce to nothing."

Azazel agreed with Albion's statements.

"You are right under normal situations. God and the Four Satans are dead so the balance of good and evil is offset. New Balance Breakers and new Longinus are appearing all the time. Canis Lykaon is one of such opposites so who is to say this can't work? You have me after all."

Vali sat down and thought about it.

"Fine, we will take it slow. If Kurayami thinks I can handle it, I will have to prove him right."

Azazel nodded.

"It won't be easy Vali. Kurayami was a fluke and both of his were Separate Avatar types. Canis Lycaon and Incinerate Anthem just matched. This will be harder than anything I and you will do."

"No matter what, I will master both aspects. Let us begin, dad."

Azazel hugged Vali tightly as he had accepted Vali as his.

"I am proud of you Vali. Get ready, we will be very busy."

Vali nodded with a determined look on his face.

"I would not have it any other way. Only hard work will allow me to measure up to Kurayami."

As such both of them were going to spend hours testing how to get the job done. Nothing would stop Vali once he was determined to do something as he wanted to prove Kurayami correct. He was worthy to be a rival.
