39 Coffee, Shower and Arms of a Strong Man

Adam didn't even flinch as he wrapped his arms around him, letting the warmth of the coffee spill over his insides and the warmth of the man spread over his skin. The sensation was pleasant and filled his heart with peace.

"Other than the hangover, how are you feeling?" asked Raymund softly.

Lechoń remembered yesterday's encounter and trembled. But as a shiver ran through his body, Hubert embraced him tighter and gave him an even warmer hug. Adam allowed it. He laid his head on Hubert's shoulder.

"Better," he said quietly. "Thank you for staying with me."

"I'm the one who thanks you for asking me to stay," Raymund lifted one hand and caressed it to the back of the lawyer's head intertwining his fingers in his light hair. "Thank you for trusting me. I'm guessing it didn't come easily to you."

"You're guessing wrong. For some reason, I have no problem trusting you."

"Maybe you're too trusting in general?" joked Hubert.

"Maybe," admitted Adam quietly, closing his eyes.
