24 Having things in common with Andrew
A week flew by with nothing to worry about except for Charlescare’s resurgence. She’d dropped by a few times to check on her siblings and Zara was glad that there was nothing serious going on. So far, Ethan seemed to be keeping his word though she worried.
The last time he offered her help, the cost had shot up to ten thousand dollars and this time, who knew how much he’d bill her? But, it was her only way to keep her siblings safe. Zara didn’t like having to trust Ethan, but she’d do what she had to do.
She sighed and turned, groaning. Why was she walking around aimlessly today? It was a Sunday and she didn’t have that much to do. Everyone was at home today but it felt like she was alone. Where was Aaron when she needed someone?
She wandered into the garden—she now had a good understanding of the layout of the house, plus, she found that they actually had a map in the hallway! How had she not seen that before?
