25 A business deal
Ethan had bailed.
It actually pissed Gracie off that the man would get her hopes so high and then think to dash them right back at that rocks. He’d promised to come by the estate the previous week to meet with Andrew as regards the aircraft building project but hadn’t showed up.
Andrew hadn’t been offended—which was a huge relieve—and had simply asked for a rescheduling. After a lot of calls, Gracie had finally been able to get a hold of Ethan and he’d promised that he was coming today.
But, again, he was late! What was the bastard even doing? She was sure that he was as jobless as the next person, so why did he make it a habit to play her? Was it to prove a point? Ethan had mentioned something about being his own boss and not dancing to anyone’s whims. Was this his way of showing that he was in control and that she was the one who needed him?
