What started as a prank to shut friends up from their teasing resulted into an interesting turn of events for Luke and Mace. All it took was one smile, one laugh and one look from the "Miss Plain Jane" of their group to turn the "ruggedly cute" boy's world upside down.

But as a realist who analyzes people's actions to the tiniest detail, Mace isn't exactly the type of girl who is easily swept off her feet. And Luke, for all his good looks, isn't exactly smooth when it comes to confessing his feelings either. 

Will Luke be able to show Mace his sincerity? How will Mace gauge the depth of how Luke feels? And casting all these issues aside, will these two ever find their way to each other?

Once Upon A Summer Day

It has been two weeks since Mace and I officially dated and as the serious boyfriend that I promised her I would be, the time has come to officially meet her Lola and sisters. 


I’ve actually met Cass during our Church activities and though not close, we do acknowledge each other’s presence. Mace said Shane is a delight to be with once you get her approval so I’m actually looking forward to meeting her because she seemed fun to hang out with. 


Needless to say, it’s their Lola that I’m really nervous about. Mace told me she’s the matriarch of their family, having raised the three of them siblings and her word is pretty much the law in their household. It doesn’t help to soothe my nerves one bit after finding out that she used to be a highschool teacher in one of the known universities in our city and have taught there for 30 long years. 


Thirty years?!? I swallowed the lump in my throat. How am I going to win over someone really strict and protective of her eldest grandchild?
