What started as a prank to shut friends up from their teasing resulted into an interesting turn of events for Luke and Mace. All it took was one smile, one laugh and one look from the "Miss Plain Jane" of their group to turn the "ruggedly cute" boy's world upside down.

But as a realist who analyzes people's actions to the tiniest detail, Mace isn't exactly the type of girl who is easily swept off her feet. And Luke, for all his good looks, isn't exactly smooth when it comes to confessing his feelings either. 

Will Luke be able to show Mace his sincerity? How will Mace gauge the depth of how Luke feels? And casting all these issues aside, will these two ever find their way to each other?

It's the summer of 1995 and this is the start of their love story.

Once Upon A Summer Day

The days of summer flew by, with Luke and Mace basking in the glow of what Cassie termed as “the honeymoon” stage of a relationship. 


“What does that mean?” Shane asked as the siblings were hanging out in their room one afternoon while Mace was out on yet another dinner date with Luke. 


“It means that because they are first timers and totally new to this world of relationships, they’re still as sweet as can be,” Cassie explained to her inquisitive youngest sister. “But pretty soon, it’s inevitable that they would be having their first couple fight.” 


Shane wrinkled her nose. “I wonder what fight would ensue between them,” she mused. “I mean they’re so sweet you know. What could they possibly argue about?” 


Cassie looked thoughtful. “Hmmmm… jealousy perhaps?” 


“Oh please,” Shane snorted. “Like those two can’t even take their eyes off each other!” She rolled her eyes. “Who could get in between them?”
