Chapter 1.2 - Raizel Harrison de Haltz

Even though it is very taboo to be done by a vampire. Vampires can't kill humans. If this incident was discovered by the human side, their existence would be threatened.

They will be hunted down and destroyed. The power of vampires is certainly much stronger than humans, but humans still can't be underestimated. They have a variety of sophisticated weapons that can match the power of vampires, and don't forget that humans are very cunning creatures.

However, apart from that. Ray doesn't care. To him, letting his victims live was tantamount to tarnishing his name as the leader of the Haltz Clan, the strongest vampire clan. This of course will make him look weak because compassion gives the victim a chance to live.

The next morning, Al had stepped into the room where the woman was. The door opened slowly. This woman's body was seen lying stiff, the bite wound on her neck had disappeared.

Al then smoothed her appearance back to how it was, just like when he found it. Then took her to where he found her in the middle of the forest and put her stiff body there.

"Hope you can sleep peacefully," said Al with a wrinkled face.

Seeing this woman's rigid body made him feel sympathy. Not without reason, because in his body is still flowing human blood. Al is indeed a vampire, but to be more precise a hybrid vampire. Half of the blood flowing in his body is vampire blood and the other half is human blood.

Although he is a hybrid vampire, Al is Rai's confidant, a right-hand man, and his best friend. During his life, he was never considered by the other vampires because of this status.

He is the only hybrid vampire in existence. His mother was raped by a heartbroken vampire, and this vampire used his mother as an outlet for disappointment.

The result of this unwanted relationship, of course, was that his mother conceived Albert. Instead of aborting him, his mother preferred to take care of her womb and gave birth to Al. Because for her, the fetus is never guilty, the one who made the fetus is guilty.

However, there is something that woman doesn't know. A human being pregnant with a vampire child had very high consequences. The power imbalance between the vampire fetus and its mother will make the mother physically weak because vampires have seven times stronger strength than humans.

This consequence happened to her. After giving birth, her physical condition continued to decline, allowing her to last only fifteen years before she finally breathed her last.

The day his mother died, Albert who was currently fifteen years old went to the Silver Forest. In a lake located in the interior of the Silver Forest, a place he used to go to, Al poured out all his sorrows.

He wept bitterly over the death of his mother. The cry was quite loud, until Rai who was not far from there heard it. Al reminisces today and also the events that happened. Today is the day his mother died, the day he met Rai, and also the day he became a member of the Haltz Clan and Rai's right-hand man.

"Are you crying or screaming? Why are you so loud?" asked little Rai who was thirteen years old.

Albert was surprised to find a small vampire figure in front of him. "W-who are you?" His crying immediately stopped.

"How dare you not answer and instead ask me! You don't know who I am?!?" he shouted and Al just shook his head guiltily.

"I'm Raizel Harrison de Haltz! I'm the leader of a vampire clan called Haltz! You're presumptuous of asking without my permission!!" Rai explained arrogantly.

"Sorry—" he said dryly, "—I don't know anything about the Haltz Clan is because I live in the human world. My name is Albert... Albert Valentino. I'm also a vampire, to be precise—"

"—a hybrid vampire, huh?" cut Rai.

"How do you know?" asked Al confused.

Rai raised his index finger and pointed it at Al, "Your skin… is too red."

"Too... red...?" and Al immediately saw the color of his skin. "Is he color blind? My skin is obviously olive," he thought. However, a scream immediately stopped Al's thoughts.

"Hey! It's Albert! Albert who got dumped! HAHAHAHAHA!" shouted one of the five vampires who suddenly came. They looked older than Albert or Rai.

"Hey, Albert, long time no see," said another vampire.

"W-what do you want?" asked Albert surprised that he took a step back and Rai saw his strange behavior.

"Ah… I only heard the sound of crying earlier, I thought if I looked for it I would find delicious prey. But instead, I got a disgusting vampire."

"You are a disgrace to the vampire world, your hybrid vampire status is disgusting!" continued another vampire.

The atmosphere suddenly turned tense. It was unexpected by Al that he had to meet a vampire who didn't like his existence, right on the day his mother died. Especially with Rai around him.

"What if I end your life here? I think this will be fun," explained another vampire.

Al immediately looked at Rai worriedly. "You! Get out of here! It's dangerous in here!" he ordered, ignoring the words of the vampires.

"Tch! Look at that! An Albert dared to ignore us!" exclaimed this vampire to his friends.

"How dare you! But, wait a minute—"this vampire is looking at Rai,"—who's that little vampire over there, huh!? He is friends with Al? How dare he befriends a hybrid vampire! He tarnished the vampire world by befriending this disgusting creature! We'll kill him all!"

Things got hotter and hotter, and Rai just stood there, not moving a single step. His face didn't show any fear at all. He even stood still.

"Hurry up and get out of here if you want to survive. I'll block them! Hurry up...! Quickly, go!" shouted Al.

"You talk a lot!" said a vampire and immediately attacked him.

But Albert managed to dodge. "Quick! Get out of here! I can't protect you!" he shouted desperately, asking Rai to leave immediately.

"Hmm... looks like we'll kill this little vampire first. This will be much more fun! HAHAHAHA," laughed another vampire who immediately shot towards Rai to attack him.

"STOP!!!" shouted Albert, "DON'T ATTACK HIM! HE'S NOT MY FRIEND! LET HIM GO!" Al turned to Rai, "YOU GET OUT OF HERE, LITTLE VAMPIRE!" he was frustrated by still repelling all attacks directed to Rai.

Rai remains silent and enjoys the show as Albert tries his best to protect him. Meanwhile, Al moves erratically. He tried his best to protect Rai.

"Feel this little vampire!" said another vampire who suddenly attacked Rai from his left, an attack that escaped Al's sight.

"DAMN!" annoyed Al while holding his arm that was injured from the previous attack.
