Leaving Limitless City

"This..."

Seeing the scroll, Blade muttered slightly confused. But, seeing the fortune detection treasure given by his master vibrate, Blade understood very well that this scroll was also a treasure.

"This is a detection treasure. Though it isn't as advanced as your one, it can detect fire attribute treasures in the surrounding ten thousand miles." Athena said.

She didn't hide anything when faced with questions from Blade. This fact was something that Blade enjoyed a whole lot as he had quickly understood from the past hour of interactions that, he had another object for use. Someone else possibly in his palm.

Though he was like this, he understood what it was to care. Athena and Andra were two who he could trust to full, they were obsessed with him so he saw no problem in taking care of them once no harm came his way in doing so.

So, with a smile on his face, he embraced Athena. 'I'm not sure how you came back to life, and I don't want to alert you either. The most important thing is for you to place me above everything, above your very life... once I can control you, this is the most important thing.'

Athena felt Blade's warm embrace, her brain momentarily short-circuiting. Ever since she reunited with him, she felt as if all her suffering was worth it.

She didn't understand why he had suddenly changed from the cold and aloof Blade to this, nor did she understand his change in appearance either, but it didn't matter in her mind. The current scene, she wishes could last for eternity.

"What do you want to do from now?" Athena asked cautiously. This was her first question since the reunion. Though she wanted to know where that Dolion fellow was, to make sure he didn't do anything to her Blade, she still kept it inside, not wanting to ruin the newly formed relationship.

"The amount of Spirit Stones I've got isn't enough, so I would have spent a couple of days gathering information before leaving this city" Blade replied. He didn't mind revealing his thoughts to her.

"Who'd have thought that being a Limitless Sky Sect's disciple was this rewarding? As soon as I appeared, the city lord needed to butter up to me. Listening to my request, I got a detailed map of this continent, so I was planning to leave tonight."

"Tonight?"

"Yes, tonight. I want to go to a certain place nearby and to go there, I'll need to pass the city gates which will mean traveling through the city. The fewer people see me, the better, so I decided to leave at night."

Even though he wouldn't admit it, Astral did affect him a little. He wouldn't actively go seeking trouble and with his face, with the agitated people in this world, simply being in the open would make people jealous due to his beauty.

Hearing his words, Athena chuckled slightly. She turned around and while resting her head on his chest, the silvery ring in her hand lit up. Suddenly, levitating in front of Blade's eyes were a pair of face masks.

Immediately, Blade gazed at Athena in a different light. Sensing the change in Blade's eyes, Athena couldn't help but say.

"What? You thought I'm useless..." Athena smiled. "I too am confident in my looks, and there were a few foolish idiots who tried to indulge in their urges."

"Oh..? There were people like that huh..." With a smirk, Blade said, "Well, why don't we leave now..?" His words earned an obedient nod of the head from Athena. She was previously a strong-headed and brave woman but, in front of Blade, she was a docile little kitten seeking attention.

One can imagine the city lord's shock when realizing his guests had disappeared without even leaving some goodbyes. What rude people...! The city lord only shook his head in disappointment, he was accustomed to the rudeness of these geniuses anyway.

Outside the city gate, four Martial Lord guards patrolled the area. These guards weren't guarding against humans though. If one wanted to enter the Limitless Sky City, one would use the teleportation circles, so there weren't humans who passed through the city gates.

If there were though, these humans needed to be of a certain level of strength. It was due to the thing these Martial Lords guarded against that made it this way. Even though it was many miles away from the city gates, a location filled with different types of monsters resided.

Distance would eventually become useless in the face of powerful cultivators and beasts. In the face of some several thousand miles, monsters and cultivators could cut such a distance in a quick time so the guards needed to be present, just in case a sudden beast attack occurred.

"So, there were humans like this too." Under his mask, Blade's eyes flashed with meaningful light as he uttered under his breath. Slightly nodding his head toward the Martial Lord guard, Blade smiled unintentionally as he said.

"You should understand that I am a disciple of Limitless Sky Sect..!" Upon hearing Blade's words, the city guard immediately bowed. There was no reason to lie in this instance after all. If he was lying, this guard didn't care, this person had to be strong anyway. Unless he had a death wish and desired to venture into 'that' place while being weak...

"Well, I'm sorry to have interrupted you, Young Lord."

Though it was hidden by the mask, the grin on his face widened. 'Such a sensible person actually resides on this planet.' Tears almost fell from Blade's eyes when seeing his actions and heard his words. "What's your name...?"

Suddenly, surprising Athena and the guard, Blade asked for his name. "This humble one goes Canaan, Young Lord." He respectfully replied. Something stirred in his heart when Blade asked for his name. After all, if he could get on this young lord's good side, maybe he'll truly be rewarded in this lifetime.

"Okay, I'll remember your name Canaan." The two figures Canaan bowed to left the vicinity of the man as he finally straightened his back. Being a member of the Limitless Sky Sect was a great honor that brought with it many benefits, one being the awe of the people.

Even the weakest of Limitless Sky Sect disciples, once nothing occurs, were destined to become very strong Martial Lords, and the geniuses who could enter the Inner Sect, they'll definitely become Martial Kings... As for Core disciples, these disciples' futures were limitless.

"If he knew my actual status, he'd have probably been groveling on the ground, and literally licking my feet in order to satisfy me." Two blurry humanoid silhouettes made their way, rushing toward what seemed to be an endless mossy and misty forest.

The figure with the black mask spoke calmly, his voice tinged with casualness as, even though the two were traveling tens of meters with each step, and their legs seemed impossible to perceive, it seemed as if this wasn't even their fastest speed.

Chuckling, the white-masked figure then asked with a teasing voice, "Since when was the Blade I know soo kind to others. I remember receiving endless cold shoulders." Hearing this, Blade chuckled, not replying.

"But, honestly, I'm much more interested in..." As Blade said these words, Athena suddenly felt an oppressive aura escape from Blade's body. In that instant, Blade's figure disappeared from her line of vision.

"Can you keep up..!" Blade's voice trailed as he once more appeared in Athena's vision but, this time he was hundreds of meters in front. A smirk etched itself on Athena's face as her body also brimmed with power, a fiery aura escaped!...

Xiu!

The distance between the two was chopped in half in that instant. Another moment later, and Athena had already caught up with Blade, bringing a shocked expression onto his face. Though he couldn't see it, Blade sensed the smugness radiating from Athena's figure.

His voice thereafter contained an intent to battle!
