Bandit Chasm Camp Leader

"Oh! It seems slaughtering these bandits is inevitable." Following the direction of the compass, the duo exited the forest and entered an open space that led to a massive chasm.

Hundreds of meters away were the other side, in the middle was nothing but air.

"Flying across wouldn't be a problem, but according to the detection treasure, it seems like our next opportunity is below! And below seems to be the residence of the bandit group."

Standing next to Athena on the edge of the cliff, the duo gazed below at the hundreds or maybe even thousands of caves that went into the walls of this cliff. It seems that each of these caves was home to at least one member of this filthy organization.

"I highly doubt they'll allow us to search for this opportunity, so it seems I must vanquish these people in the name of the righteous...!"

Saying this, Blade chuckled slightly. He was kind of excited. After all, this will be the second mass slaughter in his life. The first time was that one unlucky city, but compared to then, it'll be much more comfortable... He thought.

This time, it involved several thousand people. All were cultivators, making this nothing less than a farm of exp to level up his system. This was killing two birds with one stone. Gaining a treasure that was even better than the Painting of One Thousand Ghosts, and leveling up his system to heal it.

'No, this is like killing three birds with one stone. Wouldn't I gain a new system function too... Speaking of new system functions, I haven't checked what it is...?'

Pondering on this point, he willed for it and a gleam escaped Blade's eyes. Athena couldn't see but if she were to gaze at Blade's pupils, she'd see the reflection of the system's interface.

'Wow...'

He, Blade Pure-Heart wasn't dumbfounded by the many items... No, he, Blade Pure-Heart was dumbfounded by something else.

'I, Blade Pure-Heart feel like dying.' These things, he watched them all and realized that the thing they had in common was...

'They're damn expensive!' For him, system points were somewhat lacking. As for how many system points he had.

Ding!

[Host: System Points-: 5]

Thrum!

Closing his eyes, Blade sighed in defeat. Re-opening them, he asked. 'My lovely system, isn't it your job to give out missions? I'm sure you could bend a rule or two and give easy missions...?'

Hidden Existence!

Thrum!

"B..."

This... It seems it wasn't as simple as he had thought. 'Hidden Existence, I wonder, for the reward to be this great, I wonder what perverted strength is this?' Blade pondered deeply.

"B...Bl...Blade?!"

Breaking his concentration was Athena's voice. Finally realizing that to her it seemed as if he spaced out, he shook his head and decided to think of this when the time was right.

"Okay, let's make a big scene!" Blade said. Hearing these words, Athena smirked. As if they had some mental connection, they both released their auras at the same time..!

Instantly, the multiple entities inside the Bandit Chasm Camp felt a shiver run up their spine. Those weaker than the Martial Great Grand-Master realm were left in confusion but more fearful than anything...

In the skies, the space in Athena's surroundings seemed to twist and warp. Everything seemed blurry as soon after, another figure approached the duo. This figure had another ten or so figures following behind him.

A man who looked to be in his forties appeared. He had a rough beard and sharp eyebrows with a scar running across his face. His bulky chest and upper body were bare, revealing even more scars running across his body as his tanned skin glistened under the moonlight.

With his arms folded, an imposing aura surrounding him, he coldly stared down at the two masked figures standing in the skies. Behind him were several Martial Great Grand Masters who were plenty confident in the strength of their leader, so they too stand proudly and arrogantly!

"What is the meaning of this? Releasing your Martial Lord aura like this, do you not place this Bandit Chasm Camp's Leader in your eyes...?!"

A deep rough voice entered Athena's ear. Simultaneously, Blade's attention was on the group of Martial Great Grand Masters as he slowly flew toward them, not taking the burly man seriously.

Seeing this, the man's short scuffled hair stood on end as his aura flared. Veins bulged on his neck and face, causing Blade to finally react to his existence.

"Jeez, no wonder your subordinates are like that. Where has your patience gone? I, Blade Pure-Heart have never killed your father nor r*ped your mother, so there's no need to be soo angry."

Hearing this, the wild aura surrounding the man didn't disappear but his hair fell on his shoulders as he replied after hearing Blade's voice.

"Oh, so you're a brat. You must be from some Super Sect to be soo young yet already a Martial Lord. Tsk, and now you think that you can do anything you want in the outside world due to your background...!"

Chuckling, his expression once more warped into that of rage as his voice resounded throughout the skies.

"Little royal brats, I will personally teach you two the immensity between the Heavens and Earth!"

"Tsk, tsk, tsk..." Blade clicked his tongue, shaking his head, he then replied. "Since when do you think you have the strength to teach us a lesson." Turning his gaze to Athena, Blade continued.

"You should deal with him. I'll go ahead and deal with his minions...!" Right after, his purple pupil which could be seen behind the mask released a gleaming light that sent shivers down the spines of all those Martial Great Grand Masters.

Evil...! If there was one word they could use to describe the feeling they got from that eye, in particular, this word would be the one.

Grr...

Being completely ignored once more, the leader of this group of bandits growled like a wild primal beast as he didn't bother to continue with words, he flashed toward Blade, ready to tear him apart.

Bam!

"Come now, where do you think you're going? Your fight is with me!" Appearing out of nowhere, Athena sent a powerful kick toward Bandit Leader's face. The force was powerful enough to cause a shockwave as he was sent crashing into the walls of the chasm!

Ka-Boom!

The rube and stones of the chasm walls fell from the sight he crashed at as Athena, with a spear in hand, rushed toward the Leader of this group of Bandits.

And while that took place, Blade's attention was on his hands, his bloodstained hands. Behind him, blood sprayed into the skies as with a few punches, he had obliterated those skulls.

Sigh!

"Killing always feels weird. I don't even know if I should feel sorry for their pitiful strength?"

Smiling at his own words, he refocused his attention on the many caves below. By now, thousands of figures had either flown out of ran out of their caves.

With the explosion of the Bandit Leader's body crashing onto the walls, many thought they were being attacked by one of the cities, or probably even all the nearby cities.

They quickly rushed out with faces filled with rageful expressions. They took great pride in being a part of the Bandit Chasm Camp and they viewed those cities as trash meant to serve them.

Seeing that the trash dared to cause such a commotion, ruining their intimate times, it was rather understandable that they were angered.

Especially after only seeing one figure in the skies rushing toward them. Though he gave off a weird feeling, those who could fly rushed toward him.

In their minds, once they could handle these people before the Bandit Leader, they may be rewarded with quality 'goods'.
