Chapter 119: Sennin Mōdo (1)

Everything he saw was as red and bloody as hell. The hole in his back was spewing out a large amount of blood and the chakra shockwave was rapidly devouring him. This was Toru's death, it was a certain death that even he did not expect, but... Why was he still alive even when the explosion was devouring him? It was strange, no doubt about it. However, he felt an immense warmth in this death that surrounded him.

Clang, click...

The metallic sound of something echoed in his mind and then that skeletal figure that gave him the Shigan hugged him from behind. That strange shadow whispered something to Toru, however, he could not understand anything of what he was told.

The only thing he knew after that was that he was buried in a mountain, where all the trees of the forest lay uprooted like small weeds in a garden full of flowers.

The hole in his back was gone and his wounds had completely healed. This was accompanied by a feeling of relaxation and pleasure that Toru had never felt before, but he ignored all this, he didn't even wonder how the hell he was alive, as there was something more important in front of him.

'I was sure I used them as I should... so why?'

Toru's gaze faded when he saw his left hand. His dagger, one of his late mother's daggers had broken. Only the hilt was left, the blade had broken with a perfect cut and, right in the area where the damage was, there was some kind of red energy that a second later disappeared.

The X in Toru's eyes spun strangely, stopping and speeding up again and again.

'Who... who is responsible for this?'

Toru stood up from the ground with his hair covering his eyes. He felt his body lighter than usual, felt stronger somehow or other. Still, there was an empty feeling in his heart after this.

-Remembering Toru-

A lot had happened these days, but still everything was quite relaxing, as no one interfered with his experiments.

Still, there was something that filled the six-year-old Toru's brain with curiosity. What was Okaa-sama like in the past? For he knew all about his own father, but he knew nothing about his mother. This was somehow important to him. Though in the end it was just another of his strange selfish whims.

"Okaa-sama. Before I was born... You were kunoichi?"

Kyoko's eyes widened in surprise and then she choked on her own saliva. "Why do you ask, Toru-chan? There's nothing special about my past."

"You dodged my question by asking another one. That means you're hiding something."

"Mou~ How can you be so cruel? I don't want to talk about it, it's something left in the past. The past is something not to be forgotten, but something you must learn to overcome."

"You dodged my question again."

'Ha~ Why doesn't Toru-chan act like a child his age? He always seems so grown up and somehow it makes me sad to see him act like that. His childhood will be difficult if he continues to act so old for his age' Kyoko shook her head and answered at last. "No, I wasn't a kunoichi. For a long time I worked in the blacksmith shop with your grandfather' This was a half-truth, as there was still more to discover, but this answer was enough for Toru.

"I understand."

After that, Toru left ignoring Kyoko. Without even saying goodbye or looking her in the eyes. Kyoko smiled sadly at this. 'Am I the one in the wrong?' She stood up and walked to a certain locked room in the house.

She opened the door and pulled out a trunk. When she opened the trunk, she could see a pair of gleaming daggers, a large black cloak, and a photograph from her childhood. In that photograph, there was her and Kenji, but there were two more people. A boy with golden hair and blue eyes and an older man with long white hair, with small red marks under his eyes.

Kyoko smiled at the sight, put the trunk away again, but took the photograph with her.

-End of memory-

The monster in front of Toru had sunk to the ground from the weight of his chakra. Fuu was looking at Toru full of anger, unable to control her murderous impulses. On the other hand, Toru was walking with the broken dagger in one of his hands while in the other he held the dagger that had survived the explosion.

His gaze lost its brightness at once and all the good memories he had from his childhood filled his mind. A long sigh came out of his mouth and he looked up.

Konan's eyes widened in shock when she saw Toru get up as if nothing had happened to him. Even she had to protect herself from the explosion that devastated the vast majority of the forest.

There was no explanation for this situation. Toru should have been disintegrated in that explosion, but there he was standing there walking towards the Jinchūriki.

His attitude was strange, as he walked unevenly, staggering as if he had no strength to stand.

'What's going on?'

Konan frowned and continued to watch.

***

"This dagger... it was a memory of my mother... but you broke it... you broke it, you ruined my mother's memory... do you know what that means... do you? do you? do you? do you?" putting the daggers away inside his cloak, Toru gave a long sigh. "If you don't know... let me explain to you why what you did is wrong, it's wrong... very wrong... too wrong..."

Toru continued to walk towards Fuu, staggering as his long hair covered his face. Slowly his gait returned to normal and a strange gleam showed in his eyes.

Looking at this, Fuu sensed danger. Therefore, she opened her mouth and a sinister black sphere began to form in front of her. The sphere pulsed with power, the sphere had the pure chakra of a Bijū. So much was the energy of the accumulated chakra, that Fuu began to sink into the ground even more from the colossal weight of her own power.

Even though the chakra sphere was pointing directly at him, Toru didn't flinch and stopped in front of it.

"Ha~" Toru exhaled steam as if he was a fire beast. It was then that he looked up and... "Ōkami no hon'nō [Wolf Instinct]" His eyes glowed crimson like those of a canine beast, a black mark on the right side of his face slowly appeared. The black mark started from his forehead, passing through his right eye and fragmenting into two marks, ending on his right cheek.

The feeling of danger for Fuu increased, so she swallowed the chakra sphere and molded it with her teeth in her mouth. Two insect wings came out of her back again and started flapping vigorously, to finally lift her off the ground even with all the weight of the chakra.

Seeing this, Toru simply raised his head and looked at the Jinchūriki. His wolf eyes sharpened and he slightly opened his mouth. "You're not leaving after attacking me, Nanabi-san" Although the difference wasn't that noticeable, Toru's fangs were one or two millimeters larger than normal. Even when he uses this jutsu, his appearance changes slightly.

"Aghhhhhhhh!" Fuu roared and opened his mouth. The Bijūdama [Bijū Sphere] was now small and gathered chakra particles from the air. In a single second, the sphere launched itself at Toru like a bolt of lightning of mass destruction, but he just stood there watching and didn't move.

He slowly walked towards the Bijūdama and extended his hand. An evil smile formed on his face and a dangerous glint showed in his eyes. The Bijūdama collided with Toru.

***

Up in the sky, Konan was still watching this whole battle. She didn't know whether to worry or just do nothing. She still didn't know the full potential that Toru can reach, so she wasn't sure what to do. She was given the mission to watch over Toru and prevent this boy from dying, but as things were going, there was little she could do about it.

The Jinchūriki was now using the 4 tails of the Bijū. The power of this beast is overwhelming and Konan doesn't think he can hold this monster back that easily. So fighting a Jinchūriki while protecting Toru would be quite difficult.

'If this continues like this, he will die. I must intervene, he's getting overconfident' With this in mind, before the Bijūdama impacted against the boy, Konan swooped down, but it looked like he wasn't going to make it in time.

She tried to approach as fast as she could, but didn't make it in time.

The Bijūdama hit Toru, but instead of exploding, it stopped in front of Toru.

This boy was smiling in pleasure with the power that filled his body. His crimson eyes focused and unfocused again and again to calculate the distance and power of his blows. The Bijūdama paused in her palms, causing her wolf pride to shoot sky high.

This power was something that forced him to change his fighting style, but this did not bother Toru, as this new taijutsu brought out his destructive potential. Now he had to use his fists and legs 100% when fighting.

"Every action brings a reaction. You destroyed my dagger, now I will destroy you" Gripping the Bijūdama between his hands, Toru smiled as he bit his tongue. At that very instant, the Bijūdama began to get smaller as it pushed Toru. The Bijūdama became so small that it fit in his hands.

The Jinchūriki felt confused, as the Bijūdama had no effect. At the same time, Toru lifted the sphere between his hand, spun it on its own axis and handed it back to Fuu.

The next thing that happened, was a gigantic explosion that caused Konan to forcibly retreat. This raised the dust, but immediately everything dispersed before the wave of chakra that Fuu released as she roared in anger. However, Toru was no longer there.

"Don't get distracted."

Fuu returned her gaze back, only to see Toru with a sinister smile on his mouth, charging a fist wrapped in Shakuton.

She saw the danger in this, in tried to cover herself using the tails, but Toru was so extremely fast, that in the blink of an eye, Fuu was thrown against the ground at the speed of sound. As she fell, the entire ground deformed creating a gigantic crater covering more than half a kilometer in radius.

'To do something like this... with such force... the... it can't be...'

Konan frowned. Seeing that Toru wasn't going to stop, she backed up even further to stay away from the carnage.

Fuu started jumping back and forth using her wings as momentum. She managed to recover quickly from the blow and tried to return the damage to Toru, but it was impossible. Toru was moving around her, throwing punches and kicks imbued with Shakuton at extreme speed. She couldn't even see it coming.

On the other hand, despite the anger he felt because one of the things he cherished the most had been damaged, Toru's blood boiled with excitement and bloodlust.

'I only have 6 minutes before the Sennin Mōdo is over. Until then...' Stepping back with a smile and part of his hair covering one eye, he buried his nails in the ground while adopting a stance much like an Olympic sprinter, only this stance was changed a bit, looking a bit like when a wolf stretches its forelegs to look more menacing.

"Ōkami no hon'nō: Honō no tsume [Wolf Instinct: Igneous Claw."

Stepping on the ground with his right leg, everything within a 20 meter radius was shattered by the force Toru put in before jumping and surpassing the speed of sound. When this happened, he positioned himself on top of Fuu and smiled as a tear of blood spilled down Toru's cheek. The Shigan was shown combined with the crimson eyes, but it seemed that this combination of power caused Toru harm. But for this he needed to be able to see the lines of death.

He raised his hand high and, as if it were the paw of a wolf, broke the wind and three Shakuton blades were launched against Fuu, who did not know how to stop them being split in three.

Her body separated, but her tails prevented Fuu from dying at all costs, as they wrapped around her torso to keep her split body together. With this, regeneration reattached the body, but Fuu lost excessive energy.

Toru smiled in satisfaction at this and fell onto Fuu's back. He buried his claws into the Jinchūriki's head and began to smash her brain like a predator.

One after another, Toru sank his fingers and disintegrated Fuu's flesh using Shakuton.

"More...more...more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more!!!"

As Fuu suffered, Toru began to laugh as he smashed the Jinchūriki's head. His smile only grew bigger and more pleasurable the more he heard Fuu's cries of suffering.
