first day at work

" grrrrrr" the sound of an alarm assaulted her ears 

" Who the f*ck set that alarm"Lexi said trying to sleep as she had only slept for about 30 minutes

(lets recap on what happened last night shall we)

After Lexi was done eating dinner alone at the quiet black mansion she made her way to the bedroom to sleep she soon hot there and opened the door

" At least there's good white lightning" she said in her mind this place is not all that bad you know the white light and the black surroundings they are pretty cool

She made her way to the bed and jumped on it so comfortable she thought in her mind but after minutes of rolling and turning she found out that I she couldn't sleep

" Let's explore the mansion shall we" she giggled and went out with her pale blue pyjamas

She soon arrived at another large door the.used her strength to push it open at found the switch

Another bedroom 

After minutes of walking and opening bedroom after bedrooms she finally went back to the direction she was coming from she spent quite a lot of time trying to locate her own bedroom ad they all looked the same she soon found it and jumped back on the bed after three hours of staring at the ceiling she finally dozed off and then 30 minutes later the alarm rang and it kept on ringing till she stood up to find the switch

She noticed that immediately she stood up the alarm automatically went off that's cool she thought as she checked the time and saw it was some minutes past 4 she quickly ran to the bathroom surprisingly her toothpaste and toothbrush were already there She took her time taking her bath and brushing every part of her body until she was satisfied she then came out to practice her skin routine but she found out she did not get any of her skin products here she was about to call Chris but she remembered she doesn't have a phone

What an unlucky me she chuckled but the moment she opened the wardrobe to find a pair of boxers or something to wear she was stunned speechless

" This...this is" inside the wardrobe were tons of formal and informal attires even a lot of sparkling dresses all in her freaking sizeee

"what the heck" she said looking through all of them

'okay, first day of work I shouldn't be too flashy or too dull I should wear these sea blue office wear she concluded and started dressing

The alarm sounded again 20 minutes to breakfast miss please be punctual

" 20 minutes!!!" She squealed

20minutes later

"Click, clack, click clack" Lexi's heels made some sounds on the marble as she came downstairs Chris momentarily turned around to see her only to be stunned this lady was imposing and beautiful in formal attires

"Good morning miss" the maids lined up and greeted her

" morning" she said curtly and walked to the dining quickly

" Good you are just on time" Chris said"

"Thank God" Lexi replied and started to munch down her breakfast

"You didn't eat dinner,did you?" Chris said raising his eyebrows

She replied nodding positively 

"You where did you sleep" she asked eating fast but elegantly

" I slept here, just in a different room"Chris said 

" Okay" even though she knew he was lying 

Slept here my foot I spent half the night opening all the room doors you weren't in any of them

6:30

" Let's go" he said standing up three bodyguards followed them this time 

Morgan's Enterprise

The large signboard was enough to make you feel powerless this enterprise has been existence for about 70 years and it was improving day by day as they had business outlets everywhere around the country Lexi took in a sharp breath and walked with Chris elegantly into the office

A lot of employees were already around making Lexi wonder what time they resume actually 

" Good morning CEO"the staff greeted while bowing 

Chris just kept walking to the elevator which was about twenty steps away from him while Lexi kept recieving different glnces from the females and males in the organization

Both jealousy and curiosity even lust but jealousy overpowered it all 

" This is going to be a tough road" she said and sighed in her heart

They soon reached the elevator and stepped into the private elevator for their boss Lexi was surprised as the elevator was made of gold but this time she did not dare leave her mouth wide open instead she closed it and nodded as if she expected it Chris smiled at her behavior and sighed

At the top most floor

" Good morning boss" Ryan greeted standing upright

" Ryan Is the extra space I asked for created"

" Yes boss"

Chris nodded and gestured for me to follow him into his office and as I expected it was black but at least not pitch black this time

" That's your workplace, collect my schedule from Ryan and read them out I have a lot of work"Chris ordered

"Yes sir" I said and made my way to Ryan's cubicle

"Sir?" Chris said obviously not happy about how she called him

" Sir.."

"Chris and knock before you enter" he corrected her

She nodded meekly

Ch.. Chris your schedule has been sent to my email I'll print it out and read them now" Lexi said and rushed to her cubicle

" Such enthusiasm" he sighed

" You have a meeting in three minutes with the head of departments"Lexi paused

" I wanted to introduce you,let's go then"

Lexi nodded firmly but inside she was shivering like a cat

The guard at the door pushed the door open and let Chris and Lexi inside

All the head of departments stood up immediately and greeted Chris he waved his hand gently gesturing them to sit down

" I called you here to introduce you to my personal assistant Lexi treat her well" he said coldly

" Good morning my name is Lexi Huang" Lexi took the first step to introduce herself

" All the male and female heads stood up and greeted her

"Good morning miss Lexi" making Lexi baffled did they really have to stand up

" That are waiting for you to tell them to sit down" Chris reminded her" oh please sit down" she said politely and noted something down

Chris cranked his neck to see what she wrote but he couldn't decide those symbols

" Alright everybody leave, summit your weekly assessment to Lexi she'll handle them" he said and stood up  then Lexi followed behind

The tense atmosphere in the room eased out after he left

" That girl is not to be trifled with he came to introduce her himself"a bald man commented

" Maybe she's his cousin or a distant relative" another person suggested

" Who knows,I haven't finished my assessment so I must leave now" the bald man said and he stood up to leave

They all left the meeting room one by one.

You will get your identification card by the end of the week for this week use mine or you won't be allowed access to the building if I'm not around

I'm traveling tomorrow morning

" Okay, but you have a dinner with Mr Aires tomorrow evening by 6" Lexi said

" If I can't make it attend it for me with Ryan." He said and entered work mode.
