Chapter 121: Angel Troubles.

Never in the history of the chaotic place, the cursed land, the unlucky area – Hell's Kitchen, did it become a public attraction or a tourist spot. Now, thousands of people from various parts of the world are gathering there – even sleeping in the streets.

All of it changes after a leak on the supposed angel identity after the chitauri war. His face is covered during the battle, so how did his identity is known?

"Did he break yet?" A tough-looking man said as he walked to the monitoring place in their hidden base. They are monitoring the area nearby the forced-to-be-closed clinic and the angel's house as a lot of people are surrounding those places.

The religious fanatics are lighting candles around the building, and keep bothering the angel and his daughters – trying to touch them or send their prayers to the daughters so that the daughters can send them to their father.

It enrages the angel, and the fanatics almost lost their hand if the angel's daughter didn't drag him back to the apartment. The angel claimed that he isn't the entity that they are thinking of, and that he is just an ordinary man. But the fanatics ignored his words and just heard what they wanted to hear.

"No sir, he has been laying low," The monitoring agent replied as she shakes her head slightly.

"It won't be for much longer. Tell me when the situation soured," the tough-looking man ordered.

"Yes sir. Hail Hydra," the female agent said in a mousey voice.

"Hail Hydra," the tough-looking man said with a ruthless glint in his eyes. He glared at the cowardly female agent, wondering why he had to work with her.

They aren't afraid as the 'angel' is just an ordinary man. They have made sure of this after the third time of running the analysis on the man's blood sample.

There isn't any indication at all that he is a strengthened person – not a supersoldier or an alien entity. Now they need a justification to capture the guy. They plotted the entire incident by leaking his address and name – even his friends.

The obsessive-compulsive behavior will force him to stay in the apartment and his life in New York based on Hydra's analysis. The masses have force-fed the rumors by Hydra, and the situation is worsening. They estimated that it won't be long until it becomes a hostile situation.

As they are still 'hidden', Hydra wanted justification to move against Kai. They won't kill the man as he is an important asset.

"If he is working with Shield like Cap is right now, we won't need to do this," the female again said in a whisper after her boss had walked away. Her phone wallpaper is displaying the bare body of the angel – which she uses every time she is alone.

Her eyes become focused, and her slouching body is straightened. She put her legs on the monitor table, imagining a scene inside her mind.

The angel's hand was tied up – his clothes were ripped off and his eyes were glaring at her. She walked to him wearing leather clothing and twirling a whip in her hand.

"Oh, Dr. Kai. I couldn't wait," She exclaimed as she grinned widely as she imagined it. Noticing that she is alone there, her finger slides inside her pants.

"Doctor… Ahh ahhh~" She moaned as she looked at his picture with an obsessive gaze. Her body shivered as a clear fluid stained the monitor and the picture of the man. Then she continue her work – as if nothing had happened,

A few years back, during the battle in New Mexico, the organization did find out about the existence of a god and it caused them to become more cautious in their planning. A 'simple' human is an easy mission.

A human that managed to survive the Hulk. A human that managed to survive a building fell on top of him. A human who is among the biggest contributors in the war, surpassing the Hulk and the literal god – Thor in his merits. A human that had saved the entire species from the dark society and the underworld. It is an easy mission… right?

Not knowing the impact of their doing, Hydra is feeding the fuel on the hellfire they are going to fall into.

A pseudo-religion had been formed to instigate the masses to turn their public attention toward the fake angel. Some people start to worship Kai instead of the existing religions that are fighting to claim Kai as one of their own.

After Thor had come to earth and his existence became known during the war, Norse mythology had been acquiring the biggest attention as Thor claimed himself the god of thunder, proving the mythology is true.

But Kai is rejecting every label that was put on him and claiming himself a mortal man. The pseudo-religion is spreading the word that said the gods had abandoned their believers, and they should unite under Kai instead.

The movement is small, but a big religious institution such as the Vatican is restless. They need to confirm whether Kai really is a god's helper.

"Maria Laveau, you will take a team of believers, and find out the truth of the matter," A half-bald man with a handlebar mustache ordered a sexy nun who had been living since the 19th century.

The woman who looked like she was in her 20s kneeled toward the man, "Yes Cardinal Isaiah Curwen."

Together with 10 young nuns, the woman is taking a private plane to get to New York.

"Interesting…" Maria is reading the file the Vatican has on Kai, and is smiling widely –revealing her tiny fangs.

Inside the apartment in Hell's Kitchen.

Kai is sitting on the sofa with Doreen cuddling him. Skye is taking some drinks from the fridge. Her friend is waiting for her in her bedroom.

"Dad, should we go away?" Skye asked his gloomy father who is trying to watch the TV amidst the screams directed toward him from the streets.

"Why? We didn't do anything wrong," Doreen said with tears in her eyes. She likes it here. She has friends and the house is comfortable. She didn't want to go away.

Kai ruffled Doreen's head and comforted her.

"We are not going away. I just need to find out who did this."

"Someone did this on purpose?" Skye asked menacingly. Her hair got pulled from her scalp and her bra snapped as some old lady tried to grab her.

"Come here," Kai said to Skye as he patted the empty seat next to him.

"Dad, Ava is still waiting for me," Skye hesitated. When Kai didn't break off his eye contact, she walked over to him meekly and sat next to him.

Kai checked the injuries on his daughter. "I had tolerated them enough now, don't you think?"

He said in a calm tone as he brushed his finger to fix her hair, but Skye's heart was beating wildly. She knows. Right now, her dad is angry.

"Daddy, scary face," Doreen pointed at Kai and said cutely. Kai snapped out of his murderous thought and returned to his normal face. Skye is glad that Doreen is here. At the very least, Kai won't show the little kid his scary side.

"Dad, I am okay. Why don't we take a long vacation together? I AM taking a semester break right now," Skye suggested.

Thinking for a while, Kai finally decided. "Let's go then. I will bring you someplace special."

With the way the world is moving right now, Kai decided to bring his family to his other home – the hidden island, Paradiso.

At first, he deliberated to bring Skye there as she is going to be a new member of Shield, but with Coulson already finishing up his team and starting his journey, his relationship with Shield and Hydra who is moving against him– is almost impossible for Skye to enter at the moment.

"A major change from the timeline. I wonder what these will bring." Ryan who is chilling at the beach muttered.

"DAD, LOOK IT'S THE RED MARSHMALLOW BOT," Doreen screamed excitedly as she saw the trailer for the new movie.

"Big Hero 6?" Skye said as she watched it too. "Didn't you get invited to the premiere dad?"

"I did. But I don't think I will watch it here," Kai said. All the Avengers members are invited to go to the screening, but only Bruce Banner and Tony Stark can make it. The others are unavailable.

"It's the rolling lady," Doreen said as she watched Go-go Tomago rolling around with her suit in the animated movie. She saw a lot of the heroes up close during the battle. But for her, the best hero will be the one sitting next to her right now.

Kai watches the trailer with a complicated look. After they shared a kiss, there was total radio silence from Natasha. No calls, no explanation – nothing.

"Skye…" Suddenly a girl's voice is calling out to her friend meekly from the bedroom door. She had waited for a long time for Skye to bring the drinks, but she never came. The medical kit she had brought inside the room to check up on Skye had been opened for almost 15 minutes.

Ava is standing at the door and watches the sight of the family cuddling together. A little jealous of the family love and the fact that Skye can stay next to Kai for as long as she wanted, Ava dragged Skye to the bedroom.

Skye's injuries are already healed as she stays next to Kai, but she doesn't know it.

Inside the room, the duo is having a conversation that could make people misunderstand their relationship.

"Take off your bra," Ava ordered.

"What? NO!" Skye said as she crossed her arm to cover her chest.

"I will be gentle, I promise," Ava said seductively as she unbuttoned Skye's shirt. She saw the blood marks as her bra was snapped earlier on.

She is confused as Skye's bare back is smooth without any injuries. 'How?'

She is sure that she was injured before. Do the injuries disappear when she stays next to Kai?

"Hey, stop that," Skye is feeling ticklish as Ava is running her fingers on her back, trying to find the injuries.

"Let me check the front," Ava said, wanting to confirm her hypothesis. Skye glared at her as she was only opening the straps on her back – still holding her underwear at the front from falling.

"What are they doing?" Kai is startled as he hears some loud noise from the bedroom. Right now, Ava is pinning Skye on the bed and removing the underwear with her mouth as her arm is holding Skye's – but Kai didn't need to know that.

Night of the premiere. Actors and actresses who are voicing the characters are walking on the red carpet and are getting their pictures taken. Flashes of the camera illuminated the night.

Then, it suddenly stopped as the new guests were walking to the theatre.

"Master Tim, Ryan asked if you wanted a souvenir before he go to another location," Hiddle, who is walking a step behind Tim, asked.

"Of course. Also tell him grandchildren are the greatest gift he can give me," Tim said as the duo walked inside. The flashes of the camera resume after Tim is gone.

"Bruce, you have a girl?" Tony Stark's eyes widened as he saw the beautiful girl next to Banner whom he wrapped his arm to. He has to come alone today as Pepper is not feeling well, but Bruce dared to come with his girlfriend. This is a betrayal.

"Stark, meet Betty Ross. my girlfriend," Bruce said.

"Ross? Any chance…" Stark is shaking hands with Betty. She cut him off and told him, "That's my father."

While Tony is admiring Bruce's guts for dating the daughter of his enemy, Khan and Aunt May arrive with Peter, Ned, and MJ following them from behind.

"I don't understand why he invited me. It even said Zendaya in the invitation," MJ said as she adjusted the uncomfortable white dress she was wearing. Her hair is tied up in braids, revealing her pretty face.

"Mr. Knight likes to call people using nicknames. Mine was Ned the King," Ned in a tux said to MJ while nudging Peter who was smitten as he looked at MJ.

"What's wrong with you?" MJ asked Peter.

"N-nothing," Peter said with a red face. It's all Ryan's fault for telling him something he is not ready for – how to get girls and so on. He is only 12!

"You looked P- pre.." Peter muttered slowly. Ned nudged him again, making him spit out his words.

"Pretty tonight," Peter said. MJ's eyes widened a bit, but she controlled her grin and teases Peter instead, "Therefore, I have value?"

"That's not…I don't…" Peter scrambled to look for words. MJ laughed a little and said, "Just kidding… You looked pretty too."

Peter, who is wearing a tux, smiles sheepishly as he gets complimented. Khan stared at the trio from afar.

"Even the kids got a fling…" Khan muttered to himself.

"Who? Peter or Ned?" May asked as she looked at the trio with a concerned look. She remembers a few days back she had caught Ned and Peter looking at something on Peter's laptop. They had shut down the laptop when she approached them, and the browser history was cleared when she checked it at night.

"Don't know… but I want one too," Khan let her frustration out. After she got kidnapped a year ago by her boyfriend, her father will run a deep background check on every male that comes near her. It spooked her potential boyfriends that she had been single ever since.

"Does Mr. Mills still want to quit?" May asked.

"Don't know. Sir Hiddle did come by and talked with him. I am not sure what happened but dad is taking a break for a while."

The audience is now seated inside the theatre, waiting for the movie to start. Tony notices the kid's trio beside May when they walk in and drag Peter to sit close to him.

"So, you're Hiro Hamada?" Tony said in a teasing tone.

"I'm not... That's… what Mr. Knight…calls me, I'm Peter Parker. "

Tony is amused when he looks at the awkward kid. He doesn't know why Ryan is attentive toward the kid before, and he is greatly surprised when he checks it out. It was almost the same level of surprise as when he looked at Kai's video he hacked from Shield, the one where he faced an entire army with a flaming sword.

"Shh, the movie is starting," Betty shushed the troublemakers. The marvel logo comes out on the screen, signaling the movie is playing.
