Chapter 13: Little White Lies

Phinn POV

Phinn was beyond annoyed. Where was she? She missed supper and the history lesson that they were about to conclude.

No one missed anything with the pack unless it was business-related and necessary.

He knew that Arion had been acting more stand-offish to him than usual, but he refused to believe that she would be stupid enough to see Owen again. Or maybe he was the one who sent her running in that human’s direction. Doubt now overcame him about his previous actions.

What if she was doing this to get back at him for getting rough with her? He could have maybe approached it a different way, but he was so angry when he confronted her.

Or better yet, maybe she hadn’t even gone and met with Owen. Arion knew that just thinking she was with him would be enough to send Phinn to the edge of a mental break. This thought grew more possible when he realized that Reni was present. If Arion went to meet the boy again, wouldn’t Reni have gone as well?
