Owen POV
Owen arrived back in the village in the early evening. He had drug back a couple of logs in case his absence was noticed by his father.
Not seeing the shop open, he dragged the wood to the tavern and placed them in the back under the over-hang.
Since most shops were closed or getting ready to, Owen headed to the tavern to visit with William and give him the letter from Reni.
He laughed as he thought about how Arion had chased after him in remembrance of the letter. She had almost completely forgotten until they were departing. He didn’t blame her; their afternoon had been full of zealous distractions.
Going over the afternoon’s activities made Owen feel warm, even in the cold evening air. He loved being with Arion and remembering the moments seemed to have an equal effect on him as when they actually lived them.
