Chapter 22: Do You Even Know Oriana?

Claude’s POV

Rowan didn’t seem to understand that he couldn’t just go around flaunting his last name. No matter how often Claude reminded him, “hey, brother of mine, everyone here hates us,” he just didn’t get it.

Shortly after Claude called Rowan about Oriana, Rowan rented out this fancy penthouse to reside in while they searched high and low for Oriana. She was either dead in a ditch somewhere or miraculously good at hiding. She presented as human for the most part, so if she was smart, she’d avoid the streets at night.

The longer it took to track her down, the harder it would get. The girl was unbelievably resourceful. And adaptable. Not to mention superpowered with the gifts of a goddess. The fact that Ori hadn’t left a trail of bodies in her wake impressed him.
