Oriana’s POV
I only had a few days left until I was jobless, so I was being proactive and searching for help-wanted signs. I covered a lot of ground and I think I made a good impression on a few shop owners. Sure, I’d still be homeless for a little while, but as long as I could secure a job, I’d be okay.
Robin had invited me to come by his workshop when I was free. That he had something to show me. Of course, I said yes. I was sincere when I told him that I’d like to see some of his work sometime.
Our date was a few days ago, but I kept looking forward to the chance to see him again. I only had this little burner phone since it was all I could afford, so texting was out of the question. For the better though. I’d never get anything done if I could talk to him all the time.
I crossed over the Lincoln Tunnel and retraced my steps over the bridge to the little neighborhood. The sun hung high in the sky. It was a warmer day, so I dressed for the weather.
