“Do you think it will bring us to Matt?” Grayson asked me.
“I guess we have to find out, right?” I answered and he nodded.
“Fingers crossed.” He said as he grabbed the doorknob and opened it. He walked through and then I followed.
We were instantly brought to a small boat, about the size of a minivan and I recognized a familiar boy with a blonde buzzcut sitting and looking out on the ocean.
“Matthew?” I said quietly and he didn’t move. Grayson and I took a step closer.
“Matt, is that you buddy?” Grayson said and Matt stood up suddenly and turned around. Grayson immediately took a few steps closer and wrapped him in a hug. I joined them and wrapped my arms around them.
It felt like we had been standing there forever, crying together until we all let go.
“I thought I’d never see you guys again. I fricken died.” He finally said, still in shock.
