After Romeo and I bonded for a bit in the library, we headed to the nearest choice destination portal which was in our local art museum.
“Ready for Vermont?” He asked me as we typed in Montpelier.
“I am. Lead the way, I’m right behind you.” I told him. He nodded and smiled at me as he walked through and I followed.
When we made it to the other side, I instantly felt a sense of peace that I never felt in San Francisco. There were huge trees all around us of all types. I swear they are the size of skyscrapers in NYC. There were birds swooping around and singing to each other. The ground beneath me was a deep green and little white flowers sprouted all over. In the distance, there were mountains and the tops of buildings in town. I must have been standing there for a while, just breathing and taking it in.
