The Dungeon

I saw him coming in with my sonar, not with my eyes, and my body registered Sophie's dad tensing immediately after.

"Now why would you do that, my king," Joshua asked me from the other side of the cell, his trademark small smile never leaving his face.

"It was wrong, so I corrected it," that simple.

"What if he was the mastermind behind your mother's kidnapping?" The guy that was always around Sophie's dad asked me. What did he take me for?

"I thought rogues were nuts to begin with," I suddenly remembered how he laughed in that hospital room the last time I saw him.

Was this also funny?

"He was dead by the time I got here, were you planning on mutilating him?"

His face dropped.

I thought not.

I felt my claw retreating inside my knuckles where it grew out from, it was no longer needed anyway.

"Now who's going to explain this to me?" My eyes flickered between my brother and Herbert, the last person I thought would give me an answer did.
