Images of Sophia shivering between my arms came into my vision. I squeezed my eyes shut. Glad no one around here could see that.
I missed her.
My eyes drifted left and right, the energy... that warm energy that swirled in my chest when I realized that I was about to see her was a familiar one now.
It became familiar after the night we spent together.
I took wider strides along the lawn to the side of the packhouse now, we were probably the last to arrive and I wasn't sure if it was intentional. I could detect their presence coming from the rear.
Many, many Alphas.
But I was eager to see one before I gathered up the information that they would be willing to share with me.
I was a pureblood after all.
No.
This wasn't the correct way of thinking. I was a coveted monster. They wanted me on their side — All of them.
I had to keep that in mind.
Herbert was closely following me as I led the way inside the place I never walked through before. As soon as I came into their view, all eyes were on me.
Great.
The Alphas of the Northwest were standing around in a loose circle, I counted around twenty of them.
Could there be this many packs in the Northwest alone?
They were dressed in suits, mostly black. My navy one stood out. But my Rolex didn't.
Someone else stood out as well.
She was standing in the middle of the loose circle, her father had a protective arm around her waist. She was talking to my brother and the other guy whose wolf was silver.
I needed to get his name and memorize it at one point.
Her aura, a lot like my brother's, was a brilliant red now. But I could easily ignore that, just the way she was easily ignoring me.
She could ignore me all she wanted, I wasn't done looking at her back in that dress.
The dress was backless. There was only a… crisscross something I couldn't name that held the dress around her neck. She had her hair tied up instead of leaving it down to provide some coverage.
The dress looked as if it would feel silky to the touch.
I was planning on finding out soon. It was burning red too. And I thought pink was her favorite color…
Was she planning on looking this provocative each time I saw her? Did I have to be that guy who talked about these things with his girlfriend?
When all of the men around her started looking at me. Her neck hung down a bit, surrendering.
That's right, now look at me too.
She adjusted her posture, and amongst all the beating of the werewolves' hearts, I could swear I heard hers fluttering as she turned sinfully slow.
She looked like a sin on two legs.

No joke the author has to be a fluffing Wizard! From the first few paragraphs to the first and second chapters I was laying here thinking, "how is this fuqeing possible!" because how can someone human write that well! Hey you! Yeah you! You have talent! Also keep doing awesome, imma keep reading now.
I’m a sucker for the guy’s POV in love stories so this novel is just my cup of tea, the writing style is brilliant and the overall plot is one of the best I’ve read around here. Have Theo end up with both of them please~
I'm Celebrating 100 chapters and putting together a small Q&A that was inspired by your comments! Q: Is this for male or female readers? A: It's for female readers who enjoy action with their romance, and male readers who enjoy romance with their action (both need to like a mystery) Q: Is this teen romance? A: Nooo! This novel is not for children and not about children either (you need to read to find out how!) Q: Is this a ha- A: ept! Q: *clears throat* a hare- A: Shush! Q: ? A: Just keep an open mind while you are reading. The ML has two bonds with two amazing FLs. And that's the end of it. Q: :0 Q:... What should I expect from this novel then. A: This story is set in the near future. The ML starts with an identity crisis, he's overwhelmed and he tries to distract himself with the mysterious girl that he finds both difficult and different. Be patient with him, when his character develops, he'll be an amazing beast who was worth the wait. Both FLs are strong (one's a vampire and the other's an Alpha she-wolf) the 1st FL has a dark backstory that will also require some patience. It's a fantasy but my characters are very realistic. No one's a genius and no one has a magic wand. They work through their issues like you and me. You'll get different POVs from time to time. No NTR, as in no one will be cheating. Everything will be clear and consensual. Similarities to real names or locations may happen, but this is just a fantasy novel! Relax! Shout-out to you if your name or location gets a mention! Steam is steamy, sometimes it will be well built up to and sometimes it will surprise you, both will be worth the wait. Feel free to throw another question in the comments, I'm here because I love interacting with readers. Please support me and my novel in anyway you can <3
First you read a sentence, then a paragraph and then its got you. The writing in this novel is just perfect. That's not even an overstatement as it leaves you wanting more and more as you read. Although the pacing is a bit slow at times, the writing just keeps making up for the flaws. I love the character interactions as well since they are so enjoyable. Well done!
I've read 33 chapters so far. The first chapters were slow-paced but already hinted that that was the calm before the storm. They allowed me to get to know the main characters and enjoy the mysterious atmosphere that had me guessing what all these clues might point to. For example, the characters' eye color. Ch 13 was the chapter where I got most of my answers. But that only made me want to find out more. I like the unique plot twist about bonds. It makes the book different from the traditional werewolf books and more enjoyable to read.
Have to say this novel came a tad too late. If it was here at the beginning of the werewolf contest last year, it would no doubt occupy the charts. A very interesting read. Keep it up Author-san. I have a feeling you would go places.
The blurb of your story is heart-touching. the start is so strong whats next happened. with a strong plot and strong characters you done a superb job.
I am not a big fan of werewolf stories, but this is really well written, albeit some parts can be quite slow. I think the author is really good at setting up an atmosphere and mood for each chapter and it is really well done. So far, I think this is really promising! Great job!
I think this would be great for a paperback vs. cliffhangers in each chapter that this platform usually goes by,,, or in most cases at least... The writing quality is very high,,, the story flows nicely,.. the characters are very different from each other and I am 100% hooked
This is very different than the other novel I am following for the same author but both are very good in their own way ... I only wish there were more chapters ... the wait is a real pain...
I like the way the story started. Your writing is perfect. Has good showing ability. For me, this is an interesting read. I would love to read more. great work.
The first few chapters easily draw you into the story. The narrative technique makes the characters so relatable. Looking for a little adventure then you should read this.
Touch of reality! I think that sums up the first few chapters. The author does a good job and capturing and detailing out everything so that the reader can feel and sympathize with the characters. The novel is a good read.
From the first chapter the author does a great job of being descriptive. You are able to know just what the characters are thinking and why certain actions may be done. This is good because it allows you to empathize with the characters more than usual, especially with them having just gone through a traumatic experience.
I came here after reading another novel by the same author, this one is so different, but both of them are so great, please update the other one as well, your novels should be everywhere.
