Plans

"Hey, you have something that you might want to tell me? Lia asked in a low voice, her tone was so low that no one except the woman she was talking to could hear her.

The woman stared at Lia for a few seconds before raising her gaze to stare at numerous pairs of eyes that were vigilantly watching them, these eyes obviously belonged to White Fang's men.

" How many people do you have in your base? More than this?" The woman ignored the warning stares from the men and asked a question, Lia.

Lia was momentarily stunned by the sudden question but still managed to give a quick response.

"No, around twenty or so," Lia replied honestly. She was still wondering why the woman would ask such a question but her next words stunned Lia so much that she was unable to react this time and could only stare at the woman.

"Then forget it and leave me alone," the woman said, suddenly raising her voice.

By the time Lia recovered from her shock, white Fang and the others had returned after changing.

She still tried to interact with the woman before leaving but all she got in response was cold silence.

"It's best to leave her alone, she's…you know? I told you already so don't be surprised. Sigh! It's all because of those zombies, here, have a bowl of soup" White Fang patted Lia on the shoulder as a sad sigh escaped his lips while he passed a bowl of hot steaming soup to her.

The sight of the woman glaring at White Fang with murderous eyes did not escape Lia's sight but she pretended to act as if nothing happened and received the bowl of soup from white Fang while muttering a 'thanks'

She had decided to quietly observe everything till she figured out what was happening.

The group finished eating and the six who had been tasked to keep watch took some extra pieces of clothing before moving out, leaving the rest in the base.

Meanwhile, White Fang called everyone together since they were about to 'discuss' the reason why Fablo and his people were there.

"I have already informed everyone about your intention of reclaiming the military base. Although that idea is absurd and stupid since we had experienced firsthand how horrible it was back then, we have agreed to assist you all the way since it will give humanity a better chance to retake this world.

But firstly, I'll still want you to tell me more about your shelter, how many people are in your shelter, and how you plan to reclaim the military base. Since we are more familiar with the place, we can create a better plan together to make this mission easier" White Fang said to Fablo and the latter nodded in agreement, what White Fang had said was completely reasonable so Fablo did not hide anything this time.

He told them about their shelter that was not that far from here as a matter of fact, the two shelters had most likely never run into each other because of the zombies that were located in the uncleared part of the estate.

Fablo also told them the number of people in their shelter and of the safe area that they had cleared around their shelter, as for the amount of time it took them to clear the safe area around their shelter, Fablo kept that to himself as well as the number of people who were capable of combat in their shelter; he felt there was something wrong with the people in this shelter so keeping such matters a secret could give them the element of surprise in case things took a sudden turn.

The faces of the men around White Fang as well as white Fang himself turned serious when they heard what Fablo said and they began to stare at Fablo's team in amazement; they felt that Fablo's shelter was a shelter with few people who were monsters.

According to Fablo, the area that they had turned into a safe area around their shelter was only a bit smaller than this neighborhood but they had managed to completely clear out every last zombie with just their little numbers and crude weapons, they also did not lose a single person during the entire clearing.

The time it took was not important to White Fang, what he cared about was that Fablo's shelter had capable people.

'No wonder they were bold enough to want to reclaim the military base, with their strength, they can do hit-and-run tactics on the zombies. Even if such a tactic might require a few months to deal massive damage to the number of zombies in the military base, the time taken would not matter as long as it works!'

White Fang commented inwards.

"Then, Is there any other reason that you want to reclaim the military base? Of course, I know that it would be safer to live in this current state of the planet if we got the weapons in the military base but if staying safe is all, then I'll advise not to disturb those monsters in the military base as that will be contradictory to staying safe" White Fang asked.

" Of course not," Fablo voiced out before explaining " With the resources in the military base, we will be able to get more groups from these zombies and save more stranded and wandering people. If given enough time, I believe that we can completely eradicate them from the earth" Fablo added but it seemed that his words were not touching enough.

"Completely eradicate them from the earth? Why do you think the government hasn't done that? You should be aware that the government issued an emergency retreat three years ago and quite a number of people have fled with them. Do you think that they don't have enough resources to keep those people alive? Or do you think they don't have enough men and weapons to prevent those people from rebelling? I believe you must have heard of the super soldiers created by the government, why do you think they are not trying to sweep the zombies from the planet!?" White Fang yelled, his eyes and voice suddenly filled with hatred as he mentioned the government.
