Moon's POV
I woke up to a pair of strong arms wrapped around my waist, my head buried into a chest. Breathing deeply, the undeniable scent of my mate filled my senses. Looking up at his face, I caressed his cheek, relishing in the fact that he was now all mine.
"God, I could get used to this," he said, sleep still evident in his tone.
"Well get used to it, I am all yours," I replied, smiling.
Slowly, the events of last night replayed, and my eyes caught the mark. I couldn't help but gasp at how beautiful it looked. It was a wolf, encased by stars. I traced my fingers along it, smirking as Alex shivered and groaned at my touch. He ran his hand down my leg, grabbing my thigh and pulling it towards him.
"As much as I would love to, we have some things to discuss," I said reluctantly, wiggling my way out of his grip.
I laughed at the whine he let slip, god he was such a big puppy dog. Walking over to the bathroom, I noticed the mark on my neck. It was a wolf, surrounded by smaller wolves. Too caught up in the mark, I didn't notice Alex come up behind me. Slowly massaging my shoulders, he saw the mark.
"I guess that makes sense. Your mark shows you being a wolf and Goddess and mine shows me ruling. Star said you would explain everything after we mated."
Sighing, I turned to the shower, turning it on.
"I will, but we need to shower and eat first. I will explain over breakfast. Sun also has to know this."
We took the shower together, it is such a tender moment. I washed him, taking care when I reached my mark. Once I finished with his body, I massaged shampoo into his hair and washed it out. Then he repeated it to me. I have never felt so loved as I did at that moment.
After showering and getting dressed, I made my way to the kitchen. I began to make bacon and eggs for all three of us. I also started coffee for the boys, and then Sun walked in.
"Morning, last night go well?" he asked, pouring himself a cup.
"You already know the answer to that. Now I have to explain his role," I replied, making three plates of food and setting them on the counter.
"What role does he play? Mitch told me mine so how does he play into all this?"
"I would also like to know my role," Ales said, walking into the kitchen, and kissing me before taking his plate. He poured himself a cup before sitting next to Sun, as I handed Sun his plate.
"Be prepared boys, this may be shocking. Sun, as you know and as Alex will learn, you are my guardian. You are immortal, as I am so that you can protect me. You are like my bodyguard, you are there as the final line of defense. You have several weapons I am sure Mitch has shown you." Sun nodded in response.
"Good, now Alex," I said, turning to him. He hummed over the lip of the mug. "You are not only my mate, but you will be the Earth ruler for all of the wolven kind."
Alex just about chocked on his coffee and Sun just stared at me. Chuckling I continued, "As you have been mated to a Goddess, don't think you can get out of the ruling. Since I will be taking over for my Mother, I will be switching between realms, the living and the dead. Since I won't be on earth all of the time, Your job is to rule for me down here. Don't worry, you will always be able to get me and see me whenever. When I take over the throne, you will be able to communicate with every pack and member. Think of it as a giant pack link at your disposal. You are to keep the peace and make sure everything runs smoothly. Sam will explain how your weapons work soon. That is everything I currently know."
Alex looked at me with slight hesitation before his eyes glazed over. When he came to, he was distraught.
"I was just notified that the elemental clan has been slaughtered. It seems that the mole got the whole pack killed," he said, anger apparent.
"What is the plan of action?" Sun asked full attention to Alex.
"We all go into lockdown for now, until we know the extent of the betrayal. The slaughter will be looked into but until then we won't know anything more."
Sun's POV
All of a sudden, Moon jumped over the counter and ran out back. I and Alex looked at each other before running after her. As we came behind her, we saw what caused her to run out. A vampire was standing on our lawn, a smile plastered on his face.
"We finally meet, Moon. I have heard so much about you from my brother. I am sure you know him," the vampire said, as another stepped out of the tree line.
"Lokan," Moon growled, standing defensively in front of me and Alex. of course she would protect us, last time Lokan showed up, he killed our parents in front of her.
"My my my Moon, how you have grown," Lokan said, walking up to her.
'Sun, they are of no threat right now, stand down,' Moon mind linked.
"What do you want?" She asked.
"My dear, we just have a message from our Goddess. Simply hand over your legacy and stop the prophecy and no one gets hurt. Well, no other get hurt," he said, smirking.
"Why would I do that? Who even are you?" she growled.
"Oh, how rude of me, my name is Lucifer. Lokan is my idiotic younger brother," Lucifer stated, earning a growl from Lokan.
"Oh, hush brother. Now, what is your choice, my dear?"
Moon launched herself at him but, he fazed away before she could land a hit. Quickly recovering, she went after Lokan, who also fazed away before she could land a hit. Scanning the area, we discovered they had taken refuge in a tree.
"I see how it is," Lucifer scoffed. "Just know that we will do everything in our power to ensure you fail, young Goddess. Expect another visit from us soon. Very soon."
With that, the two disappeared. Alex walked up to Moon, rubbing her shoulders. As the tension dissipated, he leaned on him and I could feel through our bond that she was nervous.
We went back inside and Moon went into her office to figure out what to do to keep the pack safe. Alex went after her, hopefully, he could keep her calm.
'Be on guard, I can sense that they will be back sooner than expected,' Mitch said, pacing.
'Hope you are right about my knowledge of the weapons. If what you say is true I will be needed them soon.'
