Letting go

May 13th

After three days of nothing eventful happening, today was one. The day started as I woke up, had breakfast, then took a shower.

I put on my uniform. This was because I had to attend an event at my school. Which were around five minutes by motorbike from where I live.

The latest I could arrive at school was half-past seven. This meant that I had to get ready at around seven o'clock.

After thoroughly preparing myself, I ordered "Go-Jek" and rode to school. When I arrived, everyone was standing at the entrance.

Minutes passes by, my classmates arrived one by one. Then the announcement came. They told us to go to our class and put our bags down.

After everyone had put down their bags, we caught up on things that happened in our lives and what each of us was doing.

Then another announcement was heard. They told us to gather at the field. So, there we were, going down the stair and walking to the field, where every class was lined up.

Little did we know that we were walking into a natural oven. As the clock kept on ticking, the hotter the sun shone.

We had an assembly. The principal came to address the top scorers of each class. In our country, there are three majors to choose from when you enroll in public high school.

Those three are natural science, social science, and lastly language. The principal announced each major's top scorer. Along with the class that has the highest score percentage.

In the end, both achievements were earned by one of the two social science classes. After the award ceremony, there was another announcement.

And that is…. our "graduation". This was when the principal had announced the whole year had graduated high school. We all celebrated by throwing our school caps that we were all wearing.

After the cap throwing, then came the photo taking. Each class took their own photos. Then came the year photos where we were all circled around our year's banner.

Later, after the photo sessions, came the report possessions. We all walked back to class to get our semester six's report.

Each of us was called up front by our homeroom teacher. We were all called upfront according to our attendance number. Mine was thirteen so I had to wait.

When I received mine, it was quite shocking, to be honest. Since I was not the best at school, I didn't expect high numbers.

But contrary to my expectations, it was rather high. Though not higher than most of my classmates. After that, I went home via motorbike.

Then the rest of the day was pretty normal. Except that I didn't attend my extra classes since my head wasn't feeling that great. So, I rested for the rest of the day.
