A quick visit

May 14th

The day started like any other day. I woke up, prayed Fajr, and then went straight back to sleep. That is until the afternoon.

We were sent a message to gather at another relative's house. Only this time, it was closer than that of the previous one.

Unlike the previous sixteen-hour and ten-hour journey, this time it only took thirty minutes. Well, this was also because they were in the same province.

But before we drove there, I finished up a scene in my not-so-new book. Then we were all ready, we got in the car and drove off.

Out of the presumed thirty minutes ride, it only took us about twenty minutes instead. And unlike our place, we had to enter a small alley.

Fortunately, their house was quite close to the alley's entrance. So small that it only accommodates motorbikes, people, and other things of the same size. This made the walk there pretty fast.

Upon reaching their gate, my mom called out to them. They answered and let us in. Once inside, we greeted those that were inside.

Though the ones who spent the most time with the others were my parents, as expected. The other relatives asked questions befitting of most relatives around the globe.

That is when they approach me, they asked questions of a similar degree. Such as what year am I in, am I the older one or the younger one.

And which university I'm planning to attend. Though personally, I'd rather not go and instead focus on my novels. But I didn't tell them that of course.

Time passed by. More and more relatives arrived at the scene. They chatted with others. Then time passed by again.

It was then time to go back home. But we were hungry since we were yet to eat dinner. As the proposal to have dinner together, my aunt and her party were in front of us.

Conveniently, she and her party had not eaten as well. So, we asked them if they wanted to have one together.

They accepted. Before we had asked them, we had already decided on the destination. That is a duck restaurant.

We, along with the other party drove in our two cars. Then after a while, we arrived. We ordered two fried ducks, skewers, and various drinks.

After we ate, we went our separate ways. Then after another few minutes of driving, we arrived back home. We rested for the night.
