"No." He responded as his lips grazed through her temple, leaning even closer.

"Then, why?" She closed her eyes as electricity coursed through her body with that slight contact of his lips on her skin.

"So, I can claim you as mine."

The Dark Prince and The Runaway Heiress

Adam heard her and followed her into the forest. She had made a wide headstart, but he had caught up effortlessly. But instead of stopping her from where she was going, he followed her, observing her movements.

Still, he carefully watched, not letting her come into any harm. But he was curious about what she was doing and where she was going. However, she seemed to be heading to their spot. He could only wonder why.

But as soon as she showed signs of her transformation, he knew he had to be there for her. Throughout the years dealing with werewolves, he had been privy to their few secrets. One of them was their shifting ritual.

"Avana, listen to my voice. I will help you through this." Adam kept her attention on her.

He knew she had to find a way to overcome her she-wolf inside. She had to dominate her wolf counterpart so that she was the master and not the other way around.
