He kept thinking of the clues they found, hoping to find the answer to their current predicament. He knew he had to find Kiev and Resha, but where? They had tracked all the footprints, but it led them nowhere.

Whoever took the two kids knew what they were doing. They had trained to be good at their jobs, just like they were skilled in tracking their enemies. They did not leave any evidence that gave him a clue.

"Should we tell them of what happened?" Isaac asked as they returned to the state after a few hours of tracking and searching, still empty-handed.

He could see that his friend still could not believe that someone could have penetrated their defenses or that someone had betrayed his trust. He could not think of what was much worse.
