CH35: THE SILVER WOLF'S HOWL
Back in Raid town, Max and his gang were all resting. It was late in the night, and everyone was extremely exhausted. The whole town was quiet and peaceful and everyone was asleep, everyone except for two, desperate mutants. Pharaoh and Xin were out in the night, hitting every store they came across. They thought that since they couldn't find the package, they could just pay Lidong back his money. Xin would be the brains while Pharaoh would be the muscle. Throughout the whole night, they robbed six convenient stores and gathered five thousand dollars in cash and other materials. Xin would first go in the store without her extra limbs, scout the place for guards and give Pharaoh the signal. With that solid plan, they manged to get what they got. As they were making a quick getaway from their seventh heist, they both heard a howl pass by their ears. Instantly, something inside of them clicked for a quick second.
Pharaoh and Xin felt sharp tingles running down their spines so they quickly looked around to see who or what that sound came from. They looked at each other, then the area, then at each other again.
" What was that?" Pharaoh asked with some of his neck hairs still standing up.
" I...I'm not sure. Di...did you feel that. That-that....that feeling inside...like something was trying to come out."
" Yeah I...I did. Do you think that could be...Fang?"
" I hope not. I really hope it's not him. That howl sounded...like a warning."

Back at Max's house, the mother and son had fallen asleep way later than usual. For one, Max came home late because of the extra lessons he had to give to CJ and Rin and his mother's extra shift ended later than usual. It had been thirty minutes since Max fell asleep but suddenly, a howling sound passed by his ears. Immediately he jumped out from his bed with his whole body on fire. Max had the same reaction just like Pharaoh and Xin but his was different. His body went into the fire rage stage for a quick second before he came back to his senses. *Ding.*
[ The ancients send a warning to all the creatures. BE WARNED.]

"What the...hell was that?" Max checked his system for any other information but there was nothing else. He wondered what the warning was about but since he didn't have enough info, he decided to sleep on it.
The same thing happened to CJ and Rin. Rin was sleeping at the warehouse when the howl happened. Like Max, she too jumped out from her bed in her fire rage state form but it only lasted for a short second. CJ was in his large bed when the whole thing happened. The howl passed by his ear and his body jerked up while he was in his fire rage state. Harvey, who was sleeping on the floor, went through the same experience when he had the howl. His body quickly transformed as he growled a little. It all happened in a quick second before they both regained their senses. Harvey and CJ looked at each other and stared at each other for two reasons. One: Harvey didn't have any pants on and two: CJ's arms were on fire.
" Bro, cover that thing man." CJ complained. Harvey quickly covered himself before saying, " CJ, what...what's this, The whole fire thing. How did you..."
" Shhhhhh. I'm in no position to tell you now but you'll know. Let's get some rest. We'll figure this howl thing in the morning."

Back Phoenix's mansion, Phoenix had just finished putting all the kids down to sleep. The second he laid on his bed, the howl passed by his ears. His body and each of the other teen mutants got up suddenly and went through the weird process. Phoenix's body didn't go through the fire rage state like the others but he went through something else. His body did catch fire but his flames were constantly changing color. They changed from red, then to pink, violet, green then finally blue. After they all went through the howls' effects, they all regained their senses and started wondering what happened.
Phoenix fell to the ground and coughed out a little blood and rolled on the floor, wincing in pain. His eyes were turning blood-shot red and the veins on his neck were bulging. " I...can't take this anymore. I need Max's help." Phoenix slowly crawled his way out from his room to his car. He allowed the older teens to handle the younger ones until he got back so that he could head over to Max. Phoenix drove to Max at a really fast pace that he nearly rammed the car into multiple building. When he got to Max's apartment building, he forced himself and walked up to his apartment.
Phoenix finally arrived and he knocked on the door lightly. To his surprise, Max's mother answered the door. Seeing who was at the door, she froze for a while before asking, " Who are you sir?"
" I'm sorry to bother you ma'am but....I'd like to speak to Max Lin. It's...urgent."
" Okay, this is weird, I'm calling the police.."
" Mom, it's okay. He's a friend of mine."

While Max and Phoenix were handling their business, the howl also had some effects on the mutants in the city. Bruce, or King Bear, was out with some chicks at one of his clubs. As he was drinking himself silly, the howl passed by his ear. His pupils became dilated and instantly, his body transformed into his bear form.Many people got frightened at his sudden outburst but he soon regained control over his body.
" The hell was that?" He asked himself. King Bear chased everyone out of his club and called Damion, whose phone was off. King Bear wasn't the only one to experience the howl's effects. Deep underground in a large laboratory, Lidong and some scientists were holding some experiments. When he heard the howl, his body went through the same effects as Harvey's did. After regaining control, he noticed the strange behaviors his new red dead mutants were displaying. The red beasts also howled with an eerie screech. Some of them even clawed each other but the scream they gave off made Lidong worry.
" Hurry up with the experiment. I want it done by the end of this week. Something's not right and I've got a bad feeling about it."
