Chapter 52: Why I Choose This? part1
"I, Jason Wilder, son of Ryan and Emma Wilder, hereby declare my unwavering devotion as a follower of the master until the end of the cosmos. I willingly subordinate my own desires to the guidance and teachings of my master," Jason proclaimed, his voice resolute and brimming with loyalty. With conviction in his heart, he knelt before the person, bowing his head in reverence.
In response to Jason's declaration, the person spoke with a hint of recognition in their voice, uttering the unexpected words, "Son of KØD".
These words caught Jason off guard, filling him with bewilderment, and he couldn't help but express his confusion with an audible "Huh."
"From this day forth, you shall not only be my devoted follower, but a cherished son whom I hold dear until the end," the person responded warmly.
"Do not perceive yourself merely as a servant or follower. The moment you chose to follow me, I became your father, mother, brother—anything you may need. You can consider me a friend, a confidant, or any role that brings you comfort. As for me, you are my beloved son, and I will treat you as such."
Upon hearing these heartfelt words, Jason wholeheartedly embraced them, despite knowing very little about the person before him.
Nevertheless, a genuine smile illuminated his face, for there was something profoundly moving in being addressed with such warmth and affection.
The mere utterance of these words had a way of elevating Jason's respect and admiration for the individual, regardless of the ultimate outcome.
"I humbly pledge to utilize every ounce of my capabilities to avoid disappointing you," Jason responded with deep sincerity, bowing respectfully as a gesture of his commitment.
"Now, there's no need to bow down. I am genuinely delighted that you have chosen the first option, despite knowing very little about me and the inherent risks involved"
"It is commendable that you have placed your trust in me, and it is now my responsibility to guide you. However, how you choose to follow that guidance will ultimately be up to you"
"I am aware that you have many questions, but before I address them, I would like to understand why you decided to choose the first option. Although I could extract the answer directly from your mind, I prefer to hear it from your own words"
"Please remember to speak truthfully, as everything depends on your response. Even if you consider them mere words, they carry great significance."
Without hesitation, Jason began to share his honest response. His words flowed with a mix of emotions, conveying his genuine reasons for choosing the first option.
"I chose the first option primarily because I yearn to seek revenge for my father and mother, fulfilling a promise my mother made. However, that is not the sole driving force behind my decision, as for the main reason for my choice it was related to my gift that I awaken"
"In my life, I had everything one could desire, yet there was always a lingering feeling of incompleteness. When I awaken my gift during my childhood, I found solace in reading books and watching movies that delved into the realms of fantasy, mythology, and magic. They filled a void within me, but as I grew older, they no longer sufficed."
"Even when my parents were alive, I sensed an inherent longing that those experiences couldn't fully quench. Seeking to discover what was missing, I left the comforts of home and the two people I cherished the most to study abroad. I immersed myself in exploring mysterious cases and phenomena, which provided temporary satisfaction. However, the sense of emptiness persisted."
"It was during this time that I encountered a man who introduced me to the hidden powers within our society. To delve deeper, he directed me to join the Explorer organization, specifically the space department. He entrusted me with a medallion to present to the department head after successfully joining"
"Upon my return home, I contemplated whether to trust this individual and embrace the organization's path but ultimately my curiosity and the desire to fill the void within me got the better of me, I ended up doing what he told me to do"
"Which led me to the discovery of the hidden magical aspects of our society. I was taught various skills, including breathing techniques, and diligently practised them. It was through this pursuit that the void within me began to dissipate."
