A man with a crossbow

★★★★

"Hmm….." Isabella heard a hum and watched the person move away from her. Those purple eyes were inexpressible. Although they were looking at her closely, no emotion could be seen in their eyes.

"Get out," Alexander's hoarse voice sounded terrible. She couldn't open her mouth as if the words were stuck in her throat and didn't want to come out.

Her hand reached the door hand and made it slide. This time her movements were quicker because it was difficult for her to stand upright in front of the enormous pressure that Alexander was giving.

Also, the distant feeling Alexander suddenly gave to Isabella kind of upset her. Her mood also fell and the uneasiness she couldn't shrug away after so many attempts.

"Bella, what happened? Did he say something to you?" Bethany asked. Looking at Bella's droopy face, Bethany was worried.

"No, there is nothing he can do. He asked me to speak to the principal," Isabella replied.

"I already knew that," said Danny, hugging Bella. They are witnesses to the horrific incident that happened when Bella was playing football once. This was the reason Isabella ignored football when she was one of the top players in her college.

"Let's go to the principal," suggested Bethany. She didn't want to see Bella's sullen face. If the only option left was to talk to the principal, she believed it should be done immediately.

"No, I'm not in the mood today. Also, Aunt Merry asked me to go to the opera with her," said Isabella softly, as they reached near the playground where she swore she'd never go to play.

"What? Aunt Merry has come," Danny asked with a smile. The tone was also exciting just to distract Bella from the playground, as they can see how she was in deep thought looking at the ground. As well as they knew aunt Merry because she helped Isabella a lot during her bad days but they never had time to meet her. Everything they heard from Bella.

"Yes, yesterday. The woman you saw in the morning. I will invite you two soon," Isabella smiled and said. On one hand, she got little happiness getting aunt Merry close, on the other hand, this football made her depressed.

Suddenly loud music with the girl's voice came behind them, and they swerved to see. Surprisingly it was none other than Alexy and her group in cheerleader dress.

But how could they leave without bragging about their image? Alexy came swaying her high ponytail, and the group followed her. They have a lot of things now to jab Bella and they would enjoy torturing her little by little, as they've already talked in the group.

"A good day, everyone. How are we looking?" Alexy, curling her lips, asked, and the smugness was dripping from her face.

"Yeah, looking great. Just your hips looking a little flat," Bethany was checking her out, and also took her eye to Alexy's butt, as Alexy asked their opinion about her looks. On the contrary, she got the chick reply from Bethany.

"You…" Bethany raged. Then smiling at them calmed herself. "Never mind dear, I have more of everything than three of you. By the way, I heard Bella you'll take part in this year's football match. I am so glad to hear that! But I'm scared too. You know why."

Alexy smiled and murmured in a deceitful voice. Totally turned herself into a wicked witch. That year she didn't take revenge on Bella, but this year she'll definitely let out all her anger.

"You are crossing your limit Alexy, go away from here or you will not feel good with a bruised face," Danny angrily retorted.

"Do you think we cannot do the same with you guys? Haha! There is no need for us to fight because Bella will entertain us in the future.

But I really want to cheer for the girl's team, but it can not be possible. Hopefully, one day we'll get a chance to cheer for you guys, especially since I would love to cheer for Bella," Alexy smiled sweetly this time and said as her eyes already caught the men's team running to the fields.

Suddenly there was a whistle with a flirty comment from one of the football players, who commented while crossing them, "If Bella wants, I'd love to be a cheerleader for her."

"Look, everyone wants to see your moves, Bella. I am waiting," Alexy remarked, flaring Bethany and Danny more. They were about to raise their voices when Alexy's group started whispering.

Bella turned her head to where everyone was looking and saw Alexander. He was looking at them, although beside him, their principal was standing and discussing something.

"How can a man be so sexy and allure? I badly want to have a chat with him. If he wants me to suck his cock, I'll do that without stopping," a girl said behind Alexy, and didn't care about the place.

"No, way. It's impossible to touch his underwear," Alexy chuckled as her words retorted to the girl.

"I will try every way to have him. He will be mine," the same girl again said when the other girls also grumbled, "Why only you? We also want the same."

Those words were not so hateful but suddenly Isabella got angry and she took her head back to them when her eyes also turned into a flame which no one noticed it.

And within a moment, that same girl felt a sharp pain in her stomach, which made her scream out loud. She sat down screaming that's when her mouth bleed but there was no cut in her mouth so everyone assumed that would be internal bleeding.

Alexy and everyone hold that girl when the headmaster, who saw everything, came to them, as all the players on the field also rushed to the spot and took that girl in his arms to the medical room.

Bella lowered her head. She felt something was wrong with her. Why she felt that for her looking, that girl suddenly started screaming in pain. She raised her head just to look at someone when she saw another man behind Alexander, who was smiling at her creepily. It was Xavier who was standing behind Alexander, folding his hand in the front while the look he was giving Bella, was frightening.

"Bella, let's go," Danny nudged her when she saw Bella was still standing when everyone had gone toward the medical room.

"You two go ahead. I have to go. Aunt Merry will come to pick me up today," Bella said to them, and it was a big lie. Actually, she needed alone time, as she wasn't feeling good. Her guts said that she had done something with that girl.

"Are you okay? Aren't you going to the cemetery?" Bethany inquired.

"Yes, I am fine and I am planning to go to the cemetery with my aunt. You two come later and inform me about the medical room too," Bela hugged them and explained.

However, Bethany and Danny think Bella was lying. Bella wanted some free time, so they didn't force her. They also left after Bela disappeared from the college.

After coming out of college, Isabella didn't take a cab. She was walking on the side of the road, looking for answers about the things happening in the last few days. Though she knew nothing had happened because of her, still she felt connected.

Her walking was aimless as her head was down. The cemetery wasn't very far from the college. By walking anyone could reach it within fifteen minutes while Isabella took half an hour. She neither carried flowers nor anything to visit Paoli's grave.

Entering the cemetery, she didn't find any difficulty finding her grave because she saw a few people coming out from a certain side, so she followed there and got Paoli's grave.

Although they were never friends or talked very much, Paoli thought the same as others about Bella, which can't be changed in one day. That's why Bella never bothered.

Bella prayed after squatting down. Also, a sentence suddenly left her mouth unknowingly, "I dreamed of your death. I tried to save you in my dream, but I can't. Why did you do that?"

"Leave from here," a whisky sound passed near her ear. She jolted her eyes open and wandered her eyes when she felt how deserted the cemetery was.

Not a single bird could be seen in the cemetery. She got scared by the calmness of the graveyard. She stood up and walked away from there when her eyes fell on a person who was watching her behind the tree.

"Excuse me, hello!" Isabella shouted, although she never liked to talk to someone she didn't know. However, this time she was frightened, and that's why she shouted so that the person's voice would help her expel her fear.

Bella shouted again when she saw the man come out from the back of the tree. His figure was similar, but the face wasn't clear, and he was holding a crossbow toward her.

Bella backed away, but she didn't think of running away as her mind went blank. And within a second, she saw the man release the arrow, and it was coming at lightning speed toward her chest.

She closed her eyes, followed by a scream, "No."
