I am his brother

"Take it as a joke. Don't need to be mad. It's great to see a change in Alex. I'm praising you, Bella," Xavier said, putting a piece of meat into his mouth. As he munched it between his teeth, he placed a sizeable chunk into Bella's plate by saying, "Eat this one. You will love it."

"Don't serve me whatever you like. Tell me about Alex and who are you to Alex," Isabella asked, working her knife and fork seamlessly on the piece of meat, as she sliced it into small pieces before she let her tongue taste how delicious and juicy it was.

"Didn't Alex tell you about me? It's quite strange. Let me introduce myself properly. I'm his brother, Xavier Luther," replied Xavier and leaned his back on the chair. Tapping his fingers on the table, he waited for Bella to startle. Though Isabella stopped her fork and knife and wiped her mouth with a tissue, her lips cracked a smile.

Xavier looked deep into her eyes as if she was trying hard to hide her shock, but that was not the case. Her smile was clear.

"I have a hunch that you two are blood-related or with his personality, he won't let you stroll in this mansion," Bella said with a hum as she blew a breath out and then replaced the fork and knife with her hand to peel the prawns.

"Are you interested in me now, knowing I am equally rich as Alexander?" Xavier made a bold statement when he was fully aware of whose possession she was.

"Hmm..." A long pause then she resumed, "Why do you think I am after Alex's money?" Bella asked, shifting her eyes from the prawns.

"Aren't you? Then what!" Xavier further asked with his green eyes noticing her expression. Then looked down when her fingers threw a peel then she put the prawn into her mouth.

"Good question. I fell for his looks and manliness, which no one else can have," Bella answered with a smile as she finished the truth that she believed.

"Fascinating! You can think of me. I never tried my charm on you, but If I do, you couldn't resist me, Bella," Xavier said with a grin and then turned it into a smile that reached his eyes.

"Sure! If I get tired of Alexander, I'll think about you," said Bella. She let her sweet mouth speak that perfect answer Xavier deserved before proceeding, "If you are satisfied with this dinner, I want you to leave because I have a class tomorrow."

"Definitely, and don't forget what Alexander told you. Stay with the butler and the driver," Xavier spoke and stood from that place. He confused Bella when he mentioned those same words that Alexander had told her, but how did he know, and why the two of them advised the same thing?

"Hey, how did you know what Alexander had told me?" Isabella questioned, pushing the table a little. She stood, leaving the unfinished plate. Her earlier calm face turned serious, and positively, she was suspicious.

"That's not the thing you should care about. But obey what was told. Good night, Bella," Xavier said, and left the room. Bella was puzzled and her mind failed to relax. She didn't feel that it was just worded but felt more warning about the way they were told to her.

Bella locked the door after looking outside for the butler, who was nowhere to be seen and food was in her room that needed to be taken out. She pondered a bit, standing by the door, then locked it. She walked to the food and covered them back with the lids, thinking she would take them out in the morning. Bella grabbed her phone and went to bed.

"This is your last chance," a deep voice ordered two lower-stage demons who were crouching on the floor and had their heads on the floor.

"Yes, master." As their voice fell, they saw their master evaporate in the air.

Bella looked for Alexander as she was about to leave for college, but the mansion was cold and quiet. When she called on his number, the call got disconnected. She was worried and felt dull without him in the house. Distracting Bella caught butler's eyes, and he approached her.

"Miss, have you forgotten something?" The butler asked with a humble tone.

"No, can you tell me when he left the house and where he has gone? My call isn't going through," Isabella asked and turned her attention to the butler.

"Master didn't tell me the exact purpose and the place he went to. But I'm sure he's on the plane so your call can't connect," he answered with a smile and gave the pinch portion about Alex that Bella needed to know.

"Alright, let's go," Bella said with a troubled heart and led her way out while the butler was behind her.

When they reached her college, Bella told them not to come near or appeared around her to stop spreading gossip and they agreed to it. They would wait at the nearby shop outside of the college as well as it would help them to notice her movement.
