6 Years Later

I've been waiting for this day my entire life and, finally, today is the day when I finally leave my parent's mansion to leave on my own. Well. Still my own actually, but with the mysterious roommate, I refused to share any information about their agent. Still, that does not stop me from being this happy. It's the most important day of my college year.

My classes will start after 2 weeks and still, I'm freaking out. Today is also the very first day I'm going to meet my new mysterious roommate.

My stomach filled with nerves as I thought about my new roommate. I guess she's the type of roommate to go partying every night, the type to be the kindest roommate ever, I guess.

Springing into the elevator and pressing the floor that my dorm was on.

I frowned at how life has quickly changed from being complicated to more complicated. I don't even remember how my childhood was, nor do I have any childhood friends. My thoughts were interrupted as the elevator dinged and opened doors. I stepped out and walked a few steps and instantly found my room, "Thank God it's not as far as I thought ", taking a deep breath and waiting to see what was waiting for me on the other side.

I placed my hand on the doorknob. "shit it's not locked". I cursed myself and pushed the door open. My heart stopped beating. I feel the nerves starting to creep in.

Why did my heart suddenly stop and why is it beating so fast like that?

Staring at the tall muscular boy with electric blue eyes, he was shirtless and only wearing ripped black jeans. His hair is short and black. My eyes widened at his body. The Greek gods crafted themselves into this body. Before he catches me perving, I shoot my eyes straight down to my feet to avoid getting embarrassed.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"I should be asking you the same question" he says excitingly, walking towards me.

I chuckle at his sudden mood change.

" I guess you are my roommate then," I asked, raising an eyebrow at him.

He nodded quickly, " Yes I am Mrs. Votterello"

"How do you know my last name ?" I asked.

" Because I did a background check on you," he says.

I laughed." And why would you do that?"

" To make sure if my rich roommate isn't a serial killer, you know" he winks.

"Well, I guess, we are both serial killers " I smirked.

" Then I guess, I will have to kill you first," he says, walking past me and, just as he disappears into thin air, I mean he should have a list telling me he was going out and maybe have the sympathy of telling me which was going to be my room.

I grabbed my phone from my right pocket and unlocked it and hit the call button.

"Hey, mom," I said with a big smile on my face.

"Hey, sweetie, did you see your new roommate? Is she friendly?" she asks.

" You mean him, mom ?" I said sarcastically.

" whaaat th-e, I heard my dad curse on the other side of the line". You didn't tell me he was home. I yelled playfully.

"Well honey, your dad's been in your room the whole day today, he misses you " she fakely cries.

" Marie, I'm back " he interrupted my call.

" Hey mom, I will call you in a while," I said while dropping my call.

"Looks like you are already plotting my death, Marie," he says, dropping 2 large pizza boxes on the table.

" And I thought you were gone for good". I rolled my eyes at him.

He chuckles at my reaction, then sits on the couch and starts digging into his pizza.

Luckily, the mysterious boy's stuff is still unpacked in the hallway, so this means I have to first pick the room that's going to be my room. Why didn't I think of him earlier? I quickly funnily grabbed my luggage, running like it was the first time to have been given accommodation.

He chuckles with food full in his mouth " I thought rich girls don't act this way, you know, you didn't know."

I was about to reply to him when he cut my sentence.

" You can have any room you want, Marie, that's the reason. I left my stuff unpacked.

" he says".

"Did you set traps on how to get rid of me or something? " I said sarcastically.

He chuckles and then chokes on the pizza that he is eating. " Damn Marie, you sure are a witch alright" he coughs.

I rolled my eyes at his rudeness to him.

" When you are done unpacking yourself, come join me to finish off this pizza" he moans as he chews.

That food moan sent shivers to my body.

"Oh nameless boy, you failed with your killing traps and now you wanna finish me off by food poisoning me" I chuckled.

I got to my bed and sat on the corner picking my phone up and checking the time. I smiled in the process of seeing my parents and me on the screen wallpaper with a single teardrop falling from my chicks, and I wiped it off and sighed.

I begin to feel my eyelids become heavy with sleep. It's just that I haven't been getting enough sleep because of the nightmares. I get what kind of looks like my childhood phase but not a good one, because none of my parents would tell me why I get those nightmares nor would they explain my childhood for me.

I lay on my bed and turned on my side. I watched the room in darkness for what felt like hours until the lights from outside my door disappeared. At least he does get some sleep.

My eyelids feel heavy, I feel them shut and tried to open them and stay awake. What if this strange boy comes in and stabs me in my sleep?

I can't keep my eyes open any longer.
