The hospital building's corridors were extremely dark and gloomy. Whenever he was near, it was as if the bulbs noticed his presence. It wasn't on at first, but then it started to flicker and get brighter and brighter.
If Lucien is standing right below, the bulbs will be at its peakest bright. One time, Lucien decided to stop right below a bulb to test it out.
The bulb flickered, then it got brighter. As seconds passed, the familiar buzzing of overused electricity was emitted by the bulb.
With a single spark, the bulb exploded. Lucien stepped aside to avoid the pieces of glass raining down on him.
Around him, he heard somebody giggle. It was coming from a man, but the voice is too high-pitched. The air around Lucien started to get colder as seconds passed. It was enough to freeze one's breath.
