I Love Her

"You can do it," Perry encouraged.

"It's less a matter of 'can I do it' than it is of 'do I want to do it.' I had been out of school so long I forgot how terrible it was," Noelle said as she pulled a face.

"I am sorry school is terrible."

"It will be a little less terrible once everything is closer together so my days aren't so long at least. Next semester shouldn't be as bad. I'm going to try and get all early afternoon classes instead of evening ones and get all my homework done as soon as they're over. With any luck, I'll be able to go home before dinner."

"That would be nice."

Perry did not know what else to tell her. He had no experience with school.

They ate their dinner and before he knew it, she had to leave again and he had to trek back to his apartment. At least Mateo had responded by then and had time for him to come in the next day.
