Grownups Deserve Candy Too

Adam found himself lying around bored and in pain Easter weekend. This was nothing new.

He had gotten used to not having to get up and down quite so much having someone help get things for him during the week so he struggled more than usual when he was on his own. And ordered a lot of takeout.

He tried to keep up with his physical therapy exercises on the days he didn't go (because the physical therapist could always tell when he hadn't) but it was hard and he hated feeling like he wasn't making any progress. It was so disheartening.

They kept trying to tell him that he could still have a relatively active lifestyle once he got used to the prosthetic but he would have to see it to believe it. It had been months and he couldn't even walk on this thing without support and it still hurt. A lot. It felt like it always would.
