Calix's Gameplay (3)

A subtle smirk appeared on Calix's face as he waited for the animation of the teleport ability to finish. This devilish expression he made coincidentally caught on the camera and was briefly flashed on the side of the large screen on stage where the player's tables were displayed.

The fans in the audience area were quick to squeal and cheer for him. Not only did his face look incredibly handsome, but his expression also gave off a deviant sensation to them. Theo also raised an eyebrow with this sight.

"He is excited," Theo muttered subconsciously. Such a reaction from Calix was already within his expectation. There was something about gaming that made them feel excited and alive.

When it comes to playing this game, the man could be both greedy and mad for kills. This was the reason why he could pull off the best gameplay of an assassin character.

But, now that he had picked the fighter role, he had to be mindful and apply fundamental adjustments in his tactics. One of them was the teleportation ability which only a few players would use in a game.

Meanwhile, the commentators could not think of other words to describe the reaction on Calix's face too. They could only chuckle and then continue speaking their analysis of the match's progress.

In the game, after roaming the jungle, Calix's fighter character happened to be near the top lane. Thus, it was the most convenient method he knew to help Nate in the bottom lane.

Unlike Nate who seemed worried to face 3 opponents alone, Calix was fearless. His mindset was different than most players of this game.

In his mind, it never occurred to him that he would be cornered by fighting solo against 3 enemies. Instead, he would think that it was a good opportunity to get 3 kills.

Even if he would be outnumbered, he believed that he could still outplay them!

After teleporting to the bottom lane, the fighter quickly pulled the weapon forward and slashed it upward and sideward.

Clang! Clang!

His spear struck the assassin sniper again, taking a chunk of HP away and his feet advanced along. But the target managed to take a step backward.

Nate who had been very familiar with how his captain played, did not hesitate to follow behind to support him. He positioned his healer character near the bushes, away from the enemy's range of attack but near enough to cast a heal for Calix's fighter.

"Now see in the bottom lane, folks! Follow this.... 2 vs 3! It's just been 1 minute and over 30 seconds and there is another clash that's about to happen!" the first commentator stated. The large screen on the stage was quick to focus on the location.

"Calix is unwavering... despite the disadvantage of numbers!" the second commentator expressed.

The fighter did not stop despite the tank opponent trying to block his way.

In the player's booth, Calix pursed his lips. His right thumb pressed his passive skill button at an extremely fast pace. "Hmmph!"

His target retreated but he gave chase to it. The tank enemy and fighter enemy intercepted him by barricading his path. They also threw their attacks on him, but because Nate was casting a heal, their attacks were just wasted.

And before these two enemies could realize it, Calix was already swaying his spear around the air and attacking them too.

"Since you want to die first, then, be my guest!" Calix mumbled. His elbows were propped on the table and he raised his phone to adjust his sitting position. He could see that the initial target had reached the tower and was trying to return to the base. But the tank and fighter enemies did not step back. And neither Calix.

It may be hard to slay a tank character as it had the maximum defense build among all roles, but, during the early game, they were not that invincible to damage.

After parring for half a minute, the tank and fighter's HP had dropped. But Calix managed to sustain against them and had half of his HP. Then, Nate cast another healing skill to restore his HP level.

At this point, some fans of the Extreme Gaming squad were complaining about their seats. The majority of them had an ugly expressions on their faces while the others were very confused.

"Please eliminate that support healer first! Why are these tank and fighter players kept on attacking the wrong target?! Go slay that healer *****!!!"

"Their attacks are useless... they are wasting their available skills!"

"Why are they playing like this?! It's like watching a noob!"

Many were baffled by their gameplay. But none of them had realized yet that Nate's healer position was not within the range of his two opponents. Only Calix's fighter was near them. It was also impossible to attack the support healer for it can easily escape by hiding in the tower.

"The EG should just retreat! A fighter with healer support, vs a fighter with a tank... this kind of clash is really an eye-opener. Healers are indeed... vital to sustaining HP during a clash. Unless they would kill the healer first, it's impossible to take down Calix!"

"In my opinion, it's because this is still an early game. EG's tank user lacked items to absorb damage. If he has armor item, then, the result may not be the same?" the second commentator spoke too.

This was indeed the case in the bottom lane. The reason why Calix and Nate got the upper hand was due to the lack of items from their tank enemy. When it comes to clashes, those with tank allies mostly got the kills. Support healers would not be able to keep casting its healing had it been a late game.

The game duration timer indicated 00:02:29. And under Calix's continuous attacks, the two enemies had really fallen before they could flee!

FIRST BLOOD!

Double Kill!

After the system announced the kills, the audience instantly clapped their hands and cheered.

"Nice!!!"

"Hehe," Nate grinned. Calix did not even return to their base to restore his HP. He just relied on Nate to cast more of his skills while he started attacking the enemy's first tower of defense.

Match Score: 2 - 0

Not long after, the NPC monster in the jungle area had respawned once more. And Calix left Nate's support to the bottom lane and started his rotation to farm.
