Ten

-Chase Meredith:

The room felt heavier than before as I stared at Blake, his glare sharp enough to cut through steel. "That is none of my business," he growled. "I'm not going back to help that bloodsucker. And Ethan's not going back either."

I chuckled, though there wasn't an ounce of humor in it. "First of all, I never asked you to come back with us. And second of all, who are you to decide for Ethan?"

The tension snapped as Blake shocked all of us. He reached out and grabbed Ethan's hand, gripping it tightly. "Because Ethan is my boyfriend," he declared, his voice laced with possessiveness. "And I'm not letting him go back to that hellhole."

Ethan's eyes widened, stunned by Blake's bold claim. He opened his mouth as if to respond, but I spoke first, nodding coolly. "Fine. Whatever. We're not all going back anyway. This mission isn't for everyone."
