Men

Chase, still flustered from all the teasing, cleared his throat and quickly changed the subject. "Anyway—Daniel, any updates on the case?"

The energy at the table shifted instantly. The playful teasing faded as everyone refocused, their expressions growing serious.

Daniel sighed, pushing his plate away. "The lawyers are working on it. We have enough evidence to shut the lab down, but it's not that simple. The SSL has power, connections. Even with what we have, we need to be careful. If we push too hard, they might bury everything before we can take them down."

Mia frowned. "So what do we do?"

Daniel ran a hand through his hair. "We need more. Something undeniable, something so big they can't cover it up. Right now, we have proof of the experiments, but we need to link it directly to the higher-ups—make it impossible for them to escape accountability."

Jack crossed his arms. "So we need someone on the inside."

Oliver leaned forward. "Jeremy."
