Arrow stared down at the tiny bundle in his arms, his expression unreadable. Emerald's big, unblinking eyes gazed up at him, her small mouth slightly open as if she were just as unsure about him as he was about her.
He sighed heavily, shifting her awkwardly in his arms before making his way to the bathroom. This was… new. Unfamiliar. And he didn't particularly like it.
The large, marble bathroom felt too pristine for something as messy as bathing a baby, but Arrow wasn't about to ask for help. He placed her down carefully on a soft towel near the sink, his hands hovering over her small body, unsure of what to do first.
She wiggled, letting out a tiny noise, and Arrow immediately tensed.
"Alright," he muttered. "Let's… figure this out."
He turned on the warm water, testing it on his own hand first before filling the small basin he had prepared. Carefully, hesitantly, he picked Emerald up again, his fingers stiff as he lowered her into the water.
