Though the plan should've worked, Bernard obviously felt differently. Zane going out with a girl of his choosing didn't appease the old mafioso. The family dinner still would be taking place. Things to talk about and family time to be had or so his father said.

Zane simply rolled his eyes at this remark and scoffed it off. They'd not had proper family time in years. It would take more than pretty false words to get him to show up. The young mafioso would just find another excuse to avoid since he didn't have enough notice to get Rose ready. Not to mention she appeared to be preoccupied with another man at the moment. Despite appearing somewhat similar in appearance, that didn't mean the flower and man were related.

"Why don't you just think about going this time? I think that it might be better than doing whatever you want." For once, those words didn't come out of his brother's mouth. Diego took it upon himself to say it.
