Chapter 33

"W-what?" Ebba stuttered as Goku gritted his teeth in anger as he has had enough of waiting and wanted him to bring the so called brother of his out from hiding and fight him personally for what he has done to not only the Multiverse, but to his daughter too.

"Do you not care for what he has done to Nova? Clearly you don't.. and that is why as soon as I kill Xzander I will the super dragon balls to bring back everything that has been lost thanks to your stupid twin and you'll never see my daughter again. So bring him here so I can do my job and go back home to my family!" Goku replied loosing all patience snapping at the one who is supposed to be the angry father here and yet there he stands confused on what was going on and how fast Nova was found after just entering inside the palace.

"No.. Its a trap! All of this is a trap and we fell for it, we need to leave NOW" Ebba suddenly clicked on realising why this place was almost empty as the ones that are left are here to wither away and die along with this palace causing him to quickly get Xeno and regroup before spotting a huge ball of Hakai energy that could be seen heading towards them causing Ebba to link onto the closest signature he can catch and get out of there just a few minutes before it could engulf them, but little did he know that the signature he linked to was one he would surely regret as they appeared in the emptiness of space seeing the palace waste away with the Hakai while Xzander could be seen watching enjoying the view before turning to face them slightly shocked to see Nova alongside them as he expected them to give up due to her low KI thanks to the huge amount of damage he had done to her body.

"Oh. I see that you managed to find my little toy, well done even though I expected you to just give up and leave, but I guess this'll do for now until I get bored and kill you all" Xzander spoke shrugging his shoulders even though he got at least the reaction he expected to get from Goku as he believed it was finally time for the brawl for the Multiverse to begin. Winner takes all.

"Nova. You need to get out of here NOW!" Goku yelled demanding that she go with him, but with the condition she was in it seems impossible to bring out her staff or transmission out of the soon to be battlefield.

"I.. I can't. He's weakened me to the point that I can't use my magic anymore nor my KI" she replied looking back at her tail that limited everything that she did during her time stuck in the palace. No sensu bean could heal her injury as a mysterious type of KI was used to do it which means that only a divine bean can heal her injuries.

"What a shame.. I was really looking forward on using you as bait, heheh" Xzander evilly chuckled seeing that his maniacal plan was coming together as he wanted.

"Don't worry, Goku. I'll keep her under my protection until he is dealt with, I promise that he will never get to hurt her ever again. Not while I'm still breathing" Xeno suggested while being in his currently highest form that Goku was up to date with as it was SSJ5 mixed with divine energy from MUI combined.

"Alright then. I'm counting on you" Goku replied before turning his attention back to the real danger in hand putting his trust into Xeno to keep her safe and out of harms way until Xzander is properly dealt with.

Xeno was put in charge of Nova who was clearly unfit for battle thanks to her serious injuries that were beyond ordinary healing. She was quickly moved her a great distance away from the fight that involved Goku, Vegeta, Jiren and Ebba to going against the all and powerful Xzander who hovered there proudly in the vacuum of space thinking he had the advantage.

"4v1, really? This isn't a fair fight, but it doesn't matter anyway. I have some reinforcements coming that'll be joining us very soon" Xzander warned his little toys on what is to come if they wish to truly fight against a God and King of a soon to be entirely new Multiverse.

"Hmph! Why can't you just fight us yourself than letting your pathetic weak minions do it for you! Your a Saiyan for fucksake?!" Vegeta exclaimed embarrassed to see another Saiyan act out of character let alone refuse to take on such a exciting opportunity to become stronger.

"Talk about having a potty mouth.." Ebba replied making the Prince growl and glance at him in response hearing him loud and clear.

"I don't give a flying fuck! And Don't get me started on you! You're just as bad and a pain in my ass like Kakarot, so do me a favour. Stay out of my hair and shut the fuck up!" Vegeta yelled back in his MUE form while Ebba shrugged his shoulders unfazed by the Prince's rage as he was in his 'Fiery Godly Limit Breaker' form ready to swing into action.

"Heheh. Whatever you say, Princess" Ebba replied on purpose angering Vegeta even more resulting him on huffing to himself facing away from the childish God. Xeno was cautiously observing the area in great detail ensuring that Xzander wasn't up to anything bad or Nova will surely end up in a life threatening situation that will surely end with her sadly demise. 

"Does anyone have any Divine beans? The ones that can heal wounds that no ordinary magic bean can repair" Nova asked knowing about these ancient beans due to the book she once read in a very normal looking library in the palace she was rescued from. Xeno was confused as he never heard of these so called 'Divine beans' growing slight confused wondering if she had a loose fuse or something.

"Are you sure he didn't do anything more than what you've told me so far? Divine beans don't exist. Why? because I have never head of such a thing, let alone told about it as Neoma never keeps any secret intel from me especially over some weird healing beans" He responded being truthful on his word clueless if these beans did in fact do exist and the power they could possibly wield when in the wrong hands.

"They do exist?! I read all about them in the book of the Divine realm of the mighty Adira. They were personally created by her Divine angelic blood and rest in the temple where she was slain by a demon entity" Nova responded gifting him with her knowledge even though she never once lied to him unless it was absolutely necessary. Xeno was surprised on hearing this, but where does a place like that even exist? It may be Divine and ruled by the most powerful female God of all time before Neoma took the spot centuries later, but even that sounded a bit... fishy. 

"... With what's happening that place would've been destroyed by now just like everything else by Xzander's destructive power, but until everything has been restored I shall remain your protector for as long as time exists and what comes after that" Xeno replied with a soft smile as he would do anything in his power to ensure that she remains alive during and after this horrific event has ended. 

"Hmph!" She clearly wasn't pleased on having someone other than herself taking part in fights she can clearly handle. Xeno slowly shook his head glad to see that she hadn't lost her spark after everything she had been through still managing to keep a smile on her face in the darkest of days.

"Oh well. Why don't you watch the others fight? Maybe we might be able to come up with a plan to take him down. That's if you're willing to help" Xeno suggested wanting Nova's keep eye on spotting weaknesses and openings during a fight in order to have the upper hand in a fight she might not be able to win with power alone.

Goku was the first one to start the fight giving almost his all from landing a single blow while Xzander blocked it with his hand chuckling evilly before punching Goku in the face sending him flying back as Vegeta and Ebba jumped in attacking the God with all their might seeing how untouchable he had become easily dodging their every move as if he knew them specifically well as if he had studied in deep depth or was it just pure sheer luck.

"Is that all you've got? I've expected much more from you, brother" Xzander noted purposely tampering with his twin while toying with Vegeta not keeping a very close eye on the Prince as he managed to land a decent punch in the God's gut winding him in surprise making Xzander smirk even more manically as he grabbed Vegeta's arm preventing it from moving strengthening his grip ever second he got staring the Prince straight in the eyes. "You wanted me to fight like a Saiyan, right? *says in a angered tone baring his teeth at him with a grin* How is this for you then?" He lowly growled before snapping his arm with ease as if it was some sort of twig to him as Vegeta yelled in deep pain and agony allowing Xzander to sending him crashing into Goku while personally clashing with the one he wanted to fight more than anything.

However, things turned for the worst as Ebba was soon impaled in the chest by his own brother shocked by how quickly he had grown throughout the time they had on endless training to take him down. Ebba could be heard gasping every second staring as his own brother's hand was deep inside his chest tightly grabbing a hold on a vital part of his body.

"You... won't... get away with... this..." Ebba's last words weren't attention grabbing as Xzander removed his hand even though blood cannot escape like tap water when in space watching his brother's lifeless body slowly drift away. This scene was shocking for all to see as their supposed hope on taking the threat out has just been killed proving that it might be too late for them and that the end is coming sooner than they thought.

"May you rest with the Gods, brother" Xzander mumbled to himself before glancing over to Jiren who hasn't seemed to move throughout the entirety of the fight wondering if he too would even stand a chance against a murdering God. "I would love to see what you have in store for me, but my men need me back on Planet Vular, so hopefully when you get there you runts might actually put up a fight this time or it won't be just Ebba's life that'll be taken" Xzander coldly replied glancing over at Goku before vanishing sending a bone chilling shiver throughout the Saiyan's entire body knowing that he wasn't wrong and this might be the end of the Multiverse. 

"Did he..." Nova was speechless frozen in place staring far away at Ebba's dead heartless body slowly drifting away from them as something within her slightly grew, a power only a few knew of within the legends of the last remaining full blooded Toura-jin God of the Divine temple and its immense power to destroy and create anything they truly desire.

"yes. We have just lost a valuable ally and are now at the brink of extinction.. we should evacuate Planet Vular and regroup before more damage is dealt to our people" Xeno responded not wanting to look at her as he could already feel the pain of loosing someone special even though if it was Goku who was to die then the outcome would surely be different, would it not?

"I.. I can't fight like this! I'm just getting in the way and ruining everything" She replied blaming herself on Ebba's downfall due to the irreversible damage Xzander had inflicted to the most valuable part of her body that not just affects her movement in battle, but dramatically lowers her KI for any open attacks that can now end her life. For example a bullet that is how weak she has become because of HIM. 

"You aren't at fault here.. *mumbles to himself* I should've intervened he would've been alive otherwise" Xeno didn't know that Nova could hear him not making her feel any better even though she wasn't the main reason why Ebba messed up something caused him to slip up and meet his demise.

"Xeno! Get Nova put of here and head to Voltar, tell him its an emergency!" Goku yelled as the young half Saiyan nodded grabbing her hand before using instant transmission to arrive in front of the so called King in his throne room as he sat there on this throne like he was expecting their visit.

"Has the time come for us to intervene, boy?" Voltar questioned seeing Nova in her weakened state sightly raising her head in result not expecting to see a God so weak and fragile, a sight no mortal should ever witness or bad things will happen.

"Yes.. Ebba is dead and we desperately ask for your assistance, Sir" Xeno replied giving the king bad news about the only good they had on defeating Xzander as Nova is in no position to fight let alone defend anyone forever stuck as one of the most useless people to ever be present during a dire situation. In other words a war.

"What about the girl? She is clearly unfit to fight with such low KI like that. Might as well keep her here with Riaura for safe keepings, don't want to make her father mad do we?" Voltar asked feeling how weak the supposed child of Ebba and Neoma was refusing to let her take part in such a historic event, he turned to look at Alvar preparing for a moment like this to happen. "Come on, son?! We have a war to win!" He demanded calling for his son who didn't think twice on taking part on such a honored opportunity to finally fight along side his father in such a life changing event. Alvar turned to his beloved.

"Don't wait for me, my love. I might not be able to return from such a horrific war, but I will do anything in my power to stay alive for as long as possible just to see you and my unborn cub again" The prince said saying his possibly last goodbye to Riaura who was unsure of what to feel about this as Nova was stuck looking at Xeno who glanced back seeing the worry in her eyes as he stepped forward.

"I am going to be alright. Remember I can stand up to Xzander just like you can stand up to your father, but the King is right.. You need to stay here and remain out of harms way until I or someone else from the village comes to collect you so please.. make yourself comfortable as it might take a while for us to achieve victory in this war and restore everything back to its former glory again" Xeno said reassuring that everything will go according to plan if she remains here and out of trouble. Nova glanced away knowing that she was the main reason behind all of this mayhem and regretting never giving him her power, but what would happen if she chose to give him all of her power and joined his side? Will it really be any different than it is now?

"I guess.." She quietly replied agreeing to stay behind with her childhood best friend until something was to happen back on Planet Vular. Xeno patted her shoulder before walking off with the King and Alvar ready to prepare the troops and head off to the planet and fight against Xzander and his men. Nova turned around seeing Riaura who wasn't happy to babysit a grown ass woman, but who said that it was forever? "So.. What do you do for fun around here?" she nervously asked knowing for a fact that there would never be any fun happening when most of the warriors and people that live on this planet would be heading into war meaning that the two ladies will be stuck there bored out of their minds.

"I haven't got the time for your enthusiasm, Nova. I have a busy schedule today, but we do have a library in the palace and I know for a fact that you're a huge bookworm, so keep up" Riaura replied suggesting one of many things she knew that Nova would like and keep her out of the way and from breaking anything. Leading the way the half Toura-jin kept close by her full blooded Zire-jin buddy refusing to be left behind again.

"How is it in the palace? Do you like it here?" Nova asked while looking at the expensive painting and decorations a place suitable for a Queen, but this question quickly angered Riaura already loosing her patience with Nova's constant bickering.

"Can you please just shut up for once?! And of course I don't like it here, do you really think I'm that stupid to live in a place like this? Even the house back on Earth is better. One: no servants. Two: Privacy and family. THREE: It is possibly the place I grew up on. I will never in a million years abandon my home for some PRINCE!" Riaura ranted on before suddenly realising what she had done growling to herself and stormed off making Nova rush after her mot wanting to be left lost in such a huge palace.

"Wait! You said you'll show me where the library is" Nova called out as Riaura suddenly stopped as Nova stopped resting both hands onto her thighs heavily breathing from chasing after the grumpy Princess and being in the state she was in causing her stamina to drastically fall unlike what it's usually like. 

However, when Nova glanced up at her Riaura's hand could be seen pointing at some doors beside them that seemed to be closed shut finally allowing her to stand up straight after regaining the breath she once lost from all of that running. "It's in there. Now leave me alone!" Riaura instructed wanting to be left alone in which Nova did just that and went through the doors her friend pointed in and when entering inside her mind was instantly blew away when seeing one of the biggest libraries she had ever seen in her current existence already growing excited while pain slowly went up her tail that tried to slightly wag, but was unable to do so thanks to Xzander.

"OH BOY! I can't wait to read through these, but I wonder how the others are coping back on Planet Vular?" The excitement quickly turned into curiosity despite weirdly feeling that Zora was going to be just fine when in the protection of her brothers, father and Xeno as they would know what would happen if a single scratch was ever to appear on the boy.
