Hunter vs. Eugene (Part-2)

Allen and Eugene V. Samuel were two sides of the same coin.

Their childhood was tragic as fuck.

But if Eugene were to choose who had the most tragic past among them, it had to be Allen.

Allen's father died in a manmade accident. His mother married a powerful man three days after his death. Allen's stepfather wasn't only the killer of his father but also a pedophile who liked to torture kids. The mother of the two boys turned a blind eye to the disgusting gazes their stepfather directed toward them. She didn't want to destroy her relationship with her sugar daddy, even if it meant sacrificing her children. Allen didn't have the same mindset as her. He directed all his father's mental and physical onto himself. In the process, he sacrificed himself for his little brother. While his father ruined his innocence and his mother's betrayal destroyed all goodness in him, he was happy to see that he was able to preserve the goodness in his brother's heart. However, because of the horrifying wounds inflicted on him by his parents, Allen became totally deranged.

While Eugene sympathized with Allen, What his parents did to him in no way gave him the right to destroy the lives of others.

Allen was a black-hearted person through and through.

"How do you know? No! I can't let you leak the secret of my family. Die, you bastard!"

Instead of waiting for Eugene to answer how he knew his family's greatest and darkest secret, Hunter took out his pocket knife and swung it at him.

Yet again, Eugene's reacted before he made his move.

As if he was a fish in the ocean, he slipped past the knife's edge and stood behind Hunter in one smooth movement.

Then, Eugene struck Hunter in the butt with a kick carrying such immense force that he flew forward and smashed into the wall he had puked on a few moments ago.

Eugene felt disgusted as he saw his puke plastering on Hunter's cheeks and clothes.

Thud!

Hunter slipped down the wall and fell into the dumpster with a dull thud.

Maybe he was too heavy or too smelly, but the dumpster titled over and spewed him out along with many other things.

Even the dustbin didn't want to keep the fatty inside of it.

The fatty sure had a sad life.

Eugene shook his head at the bewildering scene.

'Did I just kill the healer of my future party?'

'No, that can't be!'

Eugene suppressed his disgust and checked Hunter's pulse to see if he was still alive.

'He is still alive.'

After confirming that Hunter was not bleeding from his head and was somehow fine, even after smashing his head into a wall, Eugene breathed a sigh of relief.

Right then, Rebellion slapped him with a prompt.

[As you've defeated Hunter, you've gained the right to extract his stats?]

[Would you like to do it?]

Eugene went through them before looking thoughtful for a moment. Then, he asked Rebellion, "What happens to him if I do it? Will he weaken?"

Rebellion replied to him in a monotone voice, [Yes, he will, but not by too much.]

"How much exactly?"

Eugene told it to answer him as precisely as it could.

[He will lose about 10 to 20% of his strength.]

After thinking about whether he should take some of his strength for himself or not, Eugene said, "Alright, do it."

After he said that, a stream made of countless specks of various colors surged out of Hunter's body and entered him.

Eugene felt streams of warmness wandering around his body and vanishing into his bones, organs, and the mysterious mental energy storage close to his heart.

[You've extracted the spiritual and physical essences of Hunter, an unawakened, and assimilated with them. As a result, your Agility has increased by 1, Stamina has increased by 2, Strength has increased by 3, mental energy storage has increased by 2, Health stat has increased by 2, and you've gained two experience points.]

[Your Level 1 experience bar has taken a step towards the next level!]

[Your proficiency at using the skill, Stats Siphoning has increased a little]

Eugene felt more powerful than before and willed for the character screen to open in his mind.

[Outlander: Eugene]

[Level 1]

[2/10 Exp]

[Strength: 16]

[Stamina: 17]

[Agility: 18]

[Mental Energy: 100 Units]

[Health: 12]

[Skills: Mental Fortitude (Passive) (Lvl 1), Speed Reduction (Active) (Lvl 1)]

[God of Death's Handcrafted System's Skill: Stats Siphoning (Passive) (Lvl 1), Mental Energy Control (Active) (Lvl 1)]

The average stat of a human was 10 in everything except for mental energy.

Humans typically didn't have even a single point in it.

Eugene's stats were far better than the starting point of average humans before he absorbed Hunter's stats.

But after absorbing his stats, although he didn't get a huge boost in his strength, he found the slight increase in his strength better than nothing.

"What should I do now?"

Eugene scratched his chin.

"I should drop him off at a nearby clinic and find out how much time I've left before the tower kidnaps me and thousands of other humans."

He grabbed Hunter and rushed out of the alley, only to find out that the school he had in the game was just across the street.
