Eugene Gains A Suitable Weapon!

Eugene saw no way of opening the system's secret storage, so he turned to It in hopes of obtaining a way to open it.

"How do I open it?"

Rebellion: [Just think about accessing it, and it will open.]

Rebellion explained to Eugene how to gain access to its most private place.

"Oh, ok."

Eugene followed its advice, and flashes of crimson manifested in his field of vision.

They danced in his vision before intertwining with each other like red threads to take the form of a screen with an eerie background and ten mini boxes, out of which two already held glittering items that caught his eyes with their radiance.

The first block had a White Sword, and the second showed a golden coin with lightning bolts on it.

Eugene scrutinized the sword and found it extremely sexy and to his liking.

"What material is this sword made of?"

Rebellion: [Moonstone.]

"Never heard of it. Can it conduct mental energy?"

Eugene was dying to know whether he could channel his mental energy into it or not.

Eugene was an Aura User as he knew how to use his mental energy defensively & offensively.

Aura Users like Eugene can use mental energy to increase the sharpness of their weapons or the sturdiness of their armors, but that's only possible if their items are a great conductor of energies.

If this weapon weren't a conductor of mental energy, then even though it had three excellent effects, it would still be partially useless to Eugene.

However, if that were not the case, Eugene wouldn't be in a hurry to find a new weapon

Rebellion: [I don't know. God doesn't use mental energy like mortals. You will have to try it out yourself to find out.]

"I guess I will give it a try."

With just a thought, Eugene pulled it out of the secret storage, but a mysterious force caused it to slip out of his hands and fall to the ground.

He tried to pick it up but failed.

[Ding! You need to be level 2 to equip it.]

Instead, a notification rang in his mind, telling him that he didn't quite meet the hidden requirement of this sword and hence couldn't use it.

Eugene looked at his experience points.

He had 12 and only needed ten to level up.

So without any hesitation, he decided to increase his level.

"Increase my level."

Before he leveled up, Eugene's stamina bar and mental energy storage were around half empty.

[Ding! You've reached level 2. As a result, you have obtained four attribute points to distribute freely.]

But after he leveled up, his stamina and mentally instantly regenerated to his maximum capacity.

Not just that, a wave of refreshments also washed over him, relieving him of stress and tiredness!

[As you've reached level 2, You've developed low-level immunity to the physical essences of normies and level 1 creatures]

[You've become slightly immune to the various essences of level 1 creatures. Absorbing their essences will give you very little benefit.]

After reading the notifications, Eugene understood that the higher his level, the lesser the benefits he would get from siphoning stats of creatures a level than him.

Eugene focused his attention on what he wanted to do.

He picked up the sword and channeled his mental energy into it.

Surprisingly, it didn't reject his mental energy and let it seep into its cold metallic body.

As his mental energy went into it, its metallic body released a blue radiance, indicating that it was a very excellent conductor of mental energy!

"This sword is great for me. With it, I will be becoming a swordmaster way sooner than I initially thought."

Eugene smiled and put the sword back into the system's secret storage.

"Show me my stats."

Eugene said that, and the system manifested his character screen in his vision.

[Outlander: Eugene]

[God of Death's Handcrafted System's Skill: Stats Siphoning (Passive) (Lvl 1), Mental Energy Control (Active) (Lvl 1)]

[Items: Sword of Full Moon, Pass to White Room's Secret Trial]

Eugene felt like a victor and a hard worker.

After all, He used to have half his current stats when he first arrived here.

Nearly all his stats have almost doubled since the time he appeared in this world.

"Should I allocate my points into stats or save them for the time I would really need them?" Eugene thought about it for a moment and came to a decision. "I should keep them for now."

Although he had 4 points to distribute freely, he didn't use them.

He wanted to save them for when he would really need them.

Suddenly increasing a single stat in the midst of a battle might help him escape the jaws of death at the last moment or let him defeat his opponent with ease.

"Let's get out of this stinky place full of losers."

Eugene stepped out of the alley, only to see some familiar faces across the street.

God knows when they appeared there, but his ex-girlfriend Roselia and Arthur stood just seven steps away from him.
