Many humans staggered back and huddled together next to the raised platform because they feared what the Ogre, who was approaching them, would do to them if they came in contact with him.
However, betraying all norms, Eugene, with an unconcerned and almost nonchalant expression on his face, unhurriedly stepped out of the crowd and walked towards Murzzul, who was causing the floor to rock each time he took a step towards the human side.
Murzzul was taken aback by his action and came to a temporary stop.
Only after blinking his eyes three times in confusion did he begin moving again, this time straight towards Eugene.
----------
One green giant and one handsome white human approached each other unhurriedly.
Looking at this scene, the jaws of every person in the white room threatened to touch the ground.
"He's but one man, yet he has made this place his stage and everyone on it mere backstage characters that exist only to glorify his existence. But he took too big a risk for something so insignificant and temporary. If he's weak and doesn't have the strength to overwhelm that Ogre, he is as good as dead."
While thinking this, the onlooker hiding in plain sight did not for even a moment believe that Eugene's shocking action caused a sense of disbelief to only fill the heart of the humans, for it was pretty clear to him that he had even shaken the Ogres.
Heck, even his demonic heart temporarily skipped a beat when he saw Eugene stepping up to challenge the Ogre.
"Is this ant-like human for real?"
"How dare he challenge the great warrior of our tribe?!"
"Is he looking down on us?"
Murzzul was an Ogre too terrifying, and no one among the younger generation of his tribe dared to engage in a duel with him.
Thus, the Ogres were reluctant to admit that a mere infidel had stood up to face their tribe's strongest warrior, which even most of them lacked the courage to do.
The Young Sage saw through them with a glance and chuckled, his low laughter as if a death sentence for any sinner caused every Ogre to stop shouting and quiet down.
"I don't think that's the case. You're judging that man wrong because you've let emotions get the better of you and cloud your visions. He is not looking down at us. He is just not afraid of him. " Sharbul pointed his staff at Eugene, "Look at him carefully. What he has more than you all is courage or foolishness. He is either a newborn calf not afraid of a tiger or a wolf in sheep's clothing. And we will soon find out what he is."
He, a monster, became interested in a human called Eugene.
----------
"What the hell are you thinking, young man? Are you high?!"
"Why are you walking towards that green fat ass who obviously has no good intentions towards us. Do you want to die?"
"Please be afraid of what it could do to you and step back to safety."
"Boy, do you not value your life?"
Many people snapped out of their speechless state and expressed their concern for Eugene, but as if their words fell on deaf ears, he did not stop.
Instead, without turning around, Eugene expressed his thoughts to the concerned crowd.
"Ladies and gentlemen, please worry about yourself and let me do my thing."
A few moments later, the two finally stood face to face.
"You're different from them, human."
Murzzul began to look at Eugene in a different light, not knowing that he was a monster beyond his comprehension.
"I can't quite understand what you said, but I'll have you know that I'm quite strong."
Eugene, too, gave him a subtle gaze.
He looked at the Ogre Warrior like he was nothing but a mantis trying to stop a chariot.
And what happens to such a foolish mantis?
It gets crushed by the chariot!
Eugene added, "You're no match for me."
Murzzul, of course, felt that he was hallucinating the emotions he saw in Eugene's eyes.
After all, how could a mere human show such disdain to an Ogre Warrior?!
He was unwilling to believe that a human was looking down at him in disdain and indifference.
But when Eugene redirected his gaze to the young sage of his tribe as if he was an insignificant pebble at the side of the road, Murzzul could no longer deny that he was not putting him in his eyes.
But Eugene was intent on angering him to death.
Thus, Eugene tried to ignore his entire existence by walking past him, causing the vein on the Ogre's temple to bulge. No one had ever seen Murzzul so angry. The Ogres were sure that Eugene would die a dog's death at his hand.
"Oye, brat, do you think I will just let you ignore me?!"
Murzzul intentionally bumped into Eugene's shoulder.
But as if Eugene was the Eiffel Tower with no weakness, he didn't even tilt.
Eugene gave Murzzul the stink eye.
"Do you know why a good dog lives a long and peaceful life while a bad dog dies an early death? Let me tell you; a good dog doesn't block its master path, but a bad dog does."
As expected, Murzzul didn't understand a word of what he said.
Neither Eugene spoke Orgish nor did the Ogre know a thing about English.
Thus, they couldn't communicate well with each other.
Though the tone at which he said that pricked the Ogre.
And he said it loudly, so many heard it.
As many found what he said funny, they laughed.
They couldn't help but laugh.
The way he told that joke to a monster around three times bigger than himself with a deadpan face made them crack up—nothing they could do about it.
Their laughter and how Eugene was taunting him with his gaze made Murzzul snap.
Whoosh!
His fist shot out, carrying enough force to burst Eugene's head like a watermelon.
The weak-hearted closed their eyes while the cruel ones opened their's wide in anticipation.
However, reality betrayed their expectations.
[You've reinforced your hand with mental energy!]
[Your hand has gained the force of four tons!]
Before Murzzul's punch could reach Eugene, three blue waves surged out of the energy storage next to his heart and infused with his right hand, causing it to glow blue as he raised it up to his face.
Bam!
Murzzul's fist collided with Eugene's palm and generated a booming sound and a gust of wind that assaulted everyone's face.
Those with shaky legs couldn't endure the violent gust of wind and fell down.
The dust cleared up, and what everyone saw rocked them to their core.
"He caught it?!"
A man blurted out in utter disbelief.
As a result, many people snapped open their eyes, and what they saw filled their hearts with easiness.
Eugene had caught Murzzul's punch!
On the other hand, the eyes of Sharbul and his tribe members widened to the size of saucers because of this very sight.
"Maybe he didn't go all-in?"
"Yes, he must be holding back his strength to not kill the human! That must be it!"
The Ogres tried to hypnotize themselves into believing that because he was holding back, Eugene caught his fist.
However, the words uttered next by Murzzul shattered whatever illusion and confusion they had about Eugene being a lucky weakling.
"I put all my strength in this attack, yet you blocked it nonchalantly. Who the heck are you?!"
The one most shocked by Eugene was Murzzul!
He couldn't believe that a palm of a human three times shorter and six times thinner than his had blocked his fist!
Eugene again didn't understand a word of his and went on to do as he liked.
"A bad dog ought to be punished, no?"
Eugene reinforced his right leg and foot with mental energy, causing his mental power to drop to 1-8th before kicking it in the knees.
Crack!
The sound of its bones shattering sounded throughout the white room.
Everyone gulped their saliva and felt terrified.
Be it humans or Ogres, Eugene had instilled a sense of fear in their hearts by making Murzzul the Giant Among Young Ogres fall to his knees.
To make an Ogre Prostate. This was a hard-to-achieve feat for a human. Yet, He did it all just so that it would be more convenient for him to reshape this green bastard's face.
Eugene raised his hand and brought it down towards the Ogre's face.
Pa!
The sounds of fleshy cheeks getting slapped woke up every sleepy soul and perked the ears of every being in the universe.
[Ding! The God of Face-Slapping is scratching his chin while looking at you in interest.]
[The God of War Smiles while looking at you with gleaming eyes.]
[The God of Kindness applauds you for saving your people from the hands of Murzzul, The Cruel One!]
[The God of Ogres Glares at you in dissatisfaction because you've humiliated a child of his.]
Eugene's eyebrows raised. He definitely didn't expect that he would gain the attention of four different gods just because of slapping an Ogre!
"You dare?"
Murzzul roared and tried to bite his head off.
They were so close that there was no way Eugene could dodge this sneak attack of his unless he could peek into the future.
Yet, Murzzul's jaw still snapped in empty air.
He missed his neck!
Eugene had dodged his deadly sneak attack by simply stepping to the side as if he had seen it coming and perfectly calculated its speed, range, and trajectory.
"How?!"
