Half Blooded

"Now, your Mana is like a pool of living water inside of you at your core. To find this, you will need to relax, and listen to your body," Yren explained as Kimora nervously leaned back on him.

Being this close to him made Kimora's heartbeat fast as she pulled her hood down over her face, trying to do as Yren said.

Yren could tell that Kimora was still tense, so he decided to try something. This might help make her relax, but it also might get him yelled at.

"So, when I woke up you looked pretty cute cuddled up to me. I actually closed my eyes and relaxed for a bit longer before getting up," Yren said casually.

"I did no such thing!" Kimora shouted, but she knew that he wasn't lying.

"Concentrate on what you are doing, and don't let yourself get distracted. Reactions are wastes of your energy if they don't have a purpose," Yren scolded.

Kimora decided that she would listen, and try to do what she was told. For some reason, leaning back on Yren didn't seem to bother her this time, and she let her body weight rest on him.

"Now, place your hands on your stomach, just under your ribs as your core. I am going to place my hands over yours, so you can feel my Mana flow to my hands. You should be able to feel the connection lead back to my Mana Pool, okay?" Yren asked, and Kimora nodded, doing as he instructed.

Yren was already controlling his Mana so the moment his hands were placed over Kimora's, she could feel something. It was warm and alive, but something inside of her reacted.

Kimora's Mana instantly started to rush into Yren like nothing he had ever felt before, but it didn't make sense to him. The ability to directly transfer Mana was something that not even he could do, and yet her body was filling him with raw Mana.

"What is going on?!" Kimora asked in alarm as her skin became red and her eyes started to glow.

Yren pulled his hands away, and the connection was broken between them, but now Yren's skin was gold, and his eyes glowed red.

Kimora tried to pull away from Yren, but he held on to her, without making skin contact.

"How is this possible?! Why would my father want me to be with you?! Why would you even consider helping someone like me?! Don't you know what we have done?!" Kimora cried out, but Yren held her tight.

"Stop struggling. I am not going anywhere, and you did none of that. I also am just like you and only half-blooded, so I am not part of the dungeon like the others. I am not sure what happened, but we can't be walking around like this," Yren said as he looked at his golden hands in wonder.

"Do you really not understand? I hate you, and I am keeping your people locked away!" Kimora growled in frustration.

This boy was making her so mad, but how could her father want her to cooperate with someone like this? Yren didn't even flinch when he saw her skin, so he already knew she was a Demon.

"You have a funny way of showing it. I mean, you are good at throwing insults, but let's not forget this morning, or you resting your head on my chest on the run out here? On the other point; can you unlock that Dungeon?" Yren asked.

"Shut up! No, I can't unlock the Dungeon, only my father can! What does that matter anyway?!" Kimora complained.

"If you can't open them, then you are not holding anyone. Now, it seems that you have a lot of Mana, like a ton. So much that it fills your whole body. This is a good thing, but it is going to be hard to control," Yren explained, but then asked, "First we need to deal with our skin. Is there a trick or something to make it go away?"

Kimora paused and took in what Yren had just told her, and he was right, but they were still mortal enemies. Yet, he was still holding her against his chest like nothing had changed, filling Kimora with confusing emotions.

"Umm, you just have to see yourself as human, and it goes away, like this," Kimora explained, and her skin returned to normal.

"Really? Just like that?" Yren asked, and tried it himself.

To Kimora's surprise, Yren didn't get it right away for a full five frustrating minutes. When he finally did, Yren let out a long sigh as his skin returned to its normal pale pink complexion.

"I guess even you aren't good at everything," Kimora said as she relaxed back into him again.

There was no point in fighting him if she wanted to learn.

"I have been practicing for the last five years how to control my Mana because of the special items you can get and create from the Dungeons. If we can get you to even produce some wave tendrils of power today, I will be more than impressed. You have more mana than I thought was ever possible, so you should be able to manage it," Yren explained, and Kimora nodded.

It made her feel better to know that even someone like him took a long time to learn this, but the part about her Mana surprised her. She had no idea that there was a power hiding inside of her this entire time.

"Alright. I promise not to complain and work on what you teach me. I think I got a good feel for what My mana felt like when you touched my hand," Kimora said, and Yren got up from behind her.

"Yup, keep working at it, and when we get back in a couple hours I will see how far you have got. Depending on where you are, and how you are feeling, we will decide what to work on next, okay?" Yren asked after explaining.

"Yes, I am sure that Ginny is getting tired of waiting," Kimora said, and both of them looked over in her direction.

Ginny was fast asleep under the tree.

"I think she was still tired," Yren chuckled as he left Kimora to train.
