"Wait, how does that last part work?" Yren asked in confusion.
"You have to know that not everyone is born to lead, right? The same goes for power, like what Divinity offers. You don't seem like the type to kill people unless it was your absolute last option, but the Divine are a different breed. Some think they are above rules and laws," Gaius explained, and Yren nodded.
He definitely understood Gaius on that one. Yren had seen many past Divine flaunt their power over Humans and other Divine even.
Many of these Divinities were the leading cause of their world's downfall. It made sense to Yren that someone should be able to rein these people in, but was he really the person for this job?
"You are probably asking yourself if you are the right person for the job, right? You must think that it is crazy for me to give you such power on a whim," Gaius stated, and Yren wiggled his hand like Gaius had before, making the silvery man grin.
