Episode 63. Prologue for Exams pt. 4

First at first...

JLASS!

All of George Chris's subordinates were frozen by ice magic.

"What... is your reason for coming, George Chris?" I asked in a flat tone.

"W-why should I answer your question?" He countered, trying to find the best time to breathe.

"Your name is well known in Canada, isn't it?" I tightened my grip.

"So what?! That has nothing to do with you!"

"Of course it does..." My eyes glared right beside him. "You're the one who making me move like this!" I spoke with a chilling tone right into his ear.

My frustration was how I ended up being a butcher like in the old days. I just didn't want to do it anymore. But because they stirred me up, I got caught up in the moment and ended up 'picking flowers in the garden'.

"What do I care about you, Slave!" He shouted, unaware of his condition.

"Hey hey... look... Who's in the cornered here? So please realize your position!" My voice echoed from my Adam's apple.

"I don't care... As long as I—"

"What? Your other business partners? Singh Akash, Norman Colbertstein, Garnt Towel, Akida Nozomi, and Jainal Zaka Zaki Mahesa Jinail... They all mean nothing to me!" I intimidated him.

"Do you know the names of all of them?! Just as expected from that old hag's slave!" He further taunted me.

My meter of impatience continued to rise; this would end badly if I kept engaging in this word sparring with him.

"It doesn't matter what you say! But remember, if you don't want to end up like Norman Colbertstein... Then stay away from here!" I said as I tore his skin.

SRAT!

I pierced his heart with an ice knife and pushed it out like skewered meat.

I felt it, the essence of the 'CODE' magic.

I pulled that object out slowly as if drawing a lottery.

It would be disgusting to do, but the mission was still the mission.

"GYAHHH!" Chris's scream echoed, even shaking the floor.

Just as soon as I pulled out the core of the 'CODE' magic from his lifebox.

Chris's body collapsed like a powerless baby.

His breaths were irregular, drawn in and out repeatedly.

Salty tears began to flow from his wrinkles.

"From now on, be silent!" I said flatly as I took slow steps towards the princess.

It only took a moment for George Chris and his subordinates to turn into living statues like the others.

Honestly, I didn't know what to do with this magic.

The Time Control 'CODE' magic now in the palm of my hand might be very useful to me, but if every time I used it and 'those two' could still move, then it wouldn't make any difference. It was useless.

I clenched the Time Control 'CODE' magic tightly until it made a cracking sound.

'This kind of magic should have never been created,' I thought as I discarded its dust on the floor.

With the magic shattered, time would start flowing again.

But there would still be a delay.

No wonder there was a delay; the object had been buggy ever since I forcibly removed it from the man's heart.

I would use this delay time to restore everything. Although not everything.

In front of me, a princess stood motionless and still.

'I hope she hasn't been harmed,' I thought as I checked her condition.

Yes, it seemed she hadn't been.

After that, I carried her light body.

"I have to hurry!" I looked back at the broken window.

I took long strides, each step far apart from the other.

And as I leaped out of that window, particles of light magic shimmered at my feet.

With this, I could run down on wall of the building.

....

Several minutes later, they (the guards) all back to move and looked strangely at Princess Tyas sudden arrival.

"Why is she walking?" (Ryan)

"Wasn't she in a car earlier?" (Tasya)

The Princess herself didn't even know what happened, but due to something called formality.

They ignored the oddity and continued the princess's welcome.

Princess Tyas Anjani, who was also affected by formality, also continued on, walking among us.

Every step she took always showed her elegance.

It was as if there were blooming flowers with each of her steps, accompanied by the scent of her clothes, giving the impression of being in the middle of a perfume factory.

Even the 'THAK!' sound from her shoe rubbing against the ground always sounded constant and unchanged.

It was not strange for her to be called a Princess...

Their parenting skill was indeed different from common folk.

One by one, the guards closest to the gates began to leave their posts and move to their guard positions.

The only ones truly guarding Miss Anjani were Xander and Widodo.

Originally, I was chosen as her guard directly, but I declined because it would just bother my movements.

Guarding a position was at least better than having to follow wherever the princess went.

The Roman numeral 'II' group had now disbanded, and I moved away from their location with the other two.

I didn't know them well, but it might be useful if I could get some information from them.

"Um... Mr. Rasyid, why do you look tired?" Linda started the conversation on our way to the guard post.

"I-It's just because this clothing is tight!" I lied, pulling on the collar of my clothes.

This black, thick, and hot attire seemed entirely unsuitable for the summer. This tropical summer was not surely always hot. Even the summer felt very cold sometimes.

"True, huh? Why do we have to wear dark clothes...? Why not choose bright ones!" Linda complained.

"Right, at least if it's dark, the fabric should be thin!" Ryan, walking beside her, also complained.

"That's typical of Bahar! Once again cutting the budget!" Linda stomped her foot on the ground.

"But isn't it the other way around?" Ryan raised his index finger. "Thick clothes should be more expensive than thin ones. So your earlier statement could be considered slander!" His eyes narrowed ominously.

"Slander?! Hey hey! That's a joke not good, make it better! At least, we still be able to defend ourselves!" She trembled along sweat started to form.

"Defend ourselves?" (Ryan)

"Yeah... We could just strike them legally for asking a high price only for poor quality!" A crescent moon formed on Linda's mouth.

"True..." Ryan held his chin. "That reason could also be used."

Their conversation was becoming more and more dangerous.

I regretted starting this conversation about dark clothes with them.

"Ehem!" I coughed loudly.

If not stopped, they might end up being fired by that person.

Moreover, this school was his ear. As long as his mighty name was mentioned, he would hear it.

"Could you two stop talking about him? Especially don't mention his name!" I intimidated them without shifting my gaze from the front.

"His name? Why?" Linda was puzzled, and Ryan began to join her.

There seemed to be no other way but to make them scared.

A made-up story might be effective.

"This is a school where that person holds the highest position! As long as someone mentions his name... He will listen to what they talk about. And if you speak ill of him, let alone try to bring him down, then misfortune will visit you!" I said, sounding like an old man.

"Hikhh?!" They both gasped at the story.

I didn't expect that low story to be so effective.

But...

"Mr. Bahar is actually a nice person!" (Linda)

"Best Headmaster ever!" (Ryan)

Now, I was overwhelmed by their praise for that man.

Oh dear...

....

Once at the guard post.

From up here, we could see one by one the students arriving at the school without any fear on their faces.

Things like knowledge exams truly looked like a piece of cake to them. Sometimes, I forgot that this was a prestigious school.

I smiled towards their entrance into the school.

At the same time, my eyes glanced towards another direction, where about 2 groups of other kidnappers appeared.

This made things more and more troublesome.

"Let's get started, the test and the party!"
