Episodes 131. Resolve

"What are you kids doing?" Tasya walked over to the three students.

Tasya experienced some difficulty approaching them. She couldn't bring herself to step over the frozen students casually. Even though they were frozen and unconscious, to Tasya, they were still humans with souls.

Meanwhile, Samuel, who was beside her, silently followed the short teacher. He walked past the frozen bodies without a care for morality.

"We... we're melting something," Stevent answered ambiguously, unsure of what to say to deceive both teachers.

If they knew the students could be saved by melting, perhaps they would ask Gita to do this to all the students. Stevent's trust in the teachers had weakened since what happened to his brother.

Meanwhile, Gita continued his task with his weapon still spewing out fire. Shortly, he managed to melt Moka's frozen body, returning the girl to consciousness.

*Bang!

Moka, who had just melted, immediately jumped to reach for something but collapsed as her muscles failed her.

"What happened?! Why did the world suddenly turn white?!" Moka looked around with wide eyes.

Her eyes caught the five familiar faces, but her mouth started to tremble violently. This was a sign that Anitya was beginning to regenerate her body.

"Di-did you melt her?" Beside him, Tasya, surprised by what Gita had done, tried to ask with a mix of astonishment and confusion.

"Hmm (nodding), Gita did it." (Stevent)

"But why you just save your friend?! The other need your help too!" Tasya was carried away by emotion and sadness.

Stevent didn't know how to answer his teacher's emotional outburst. He could only lower his head, unable to respond to the anger.

"Are you selfish or something?!"

"No, ma'am, it's just-" (Hakam)

"Many students here don't know what's really happening. They think this school is just a place to show off their powers without knowing the truth behind it." Gita, cutting off Hakam, made an irrefutable argument, silencing Ms. Tasya. "If we melt them now, they will be shocked and terrified. Their parents will get involved and try to take legal action, blind to what's really happening. Moreover, not just this school, but the entire city of Ningru will be destroyed if the entire Nusantara finds out!"

Tasya was completely silent, knowing whom Gita was referring to. Tears welled up in her eyes, and her hands clenched in frustration at her powerlessness to save others, the ground beneath her the only thing she could look at.

"You have a strong argument, Gita. It's rare for a student to debate like this, even silencing their foe." Samuel, who had been silent, finally congratulated Gita, though his expression showed suspicion about who Gita really was.

Understandably so, knowing a big secret about his friends and the school made it hard to trust anyone around him.

"Relax, I have dealt with people more stubborn than Ms. Tasya, so I can handle her easily." With his hands on his hips, Gita smiled broadly, showing his face full of pride.

Seeing how the boy responded, Samuel's suspicion began to wane. He didn't believe someone like Gita could have a secret.

"Ms. Tasya? Mr. Samuel? You?"

Moka, who had been silent and left behind, finally tried to speak, her trembling mouth now fully regenerated.

She was now upset for being left in confusion among the five of them.

"Oh, Moka! Sorry, we were too busy bullshitting each other..." (Tasya)

"It's okay... It's just, what happened?" Moka was in a state of knowing but struggling to accept it.

"This is the doing of Sophia, Dahlia, and Haran." Gita clarified bluntly.

"..." There was no response from the girl; she was still struggling to accept it.

"No, it's not because of the three of them, but because of your homeroom teacher!" (Samuel)

"Samuel?!" Tasya seemed to want to hide the truth.

"What do you mean by 'the culprit is our homeroom teacher?'" The four of them became even more confused by the statement.

Both Stevent and Gita narrowed their eyes at Samuel, who was upset from being carried away by emotion. They both seemed to want clarification on that statement.

However, no one dared to speak after Samuel said that—not the students, not Tasya, and even Samuel himself fell silent.

He seemed to be holding back his anger that had accidentally erupted, revealing a painful fact.

"Fo-forget it, I'll consider what I heard just now as the nonsense of someone carried away by emotion." Gita turned to face the gate and walked calmly away from them. "But~ it's best if the five of us walk together... (Taking a breath) since we're all heading the same way."

A forced smile appeared on Gita's face, trying to lift his friends' spirits and break the tension.

"Hmm (nodding)." Samuel agreed with the situation, unable to remain silent due to anger and confusion.

Even though they had different opinions, their goal was the same: to meet the teacher and their friend, Rasyid Londerik.

.......

Point of View: Earl Stevent Xander

I walked following Gita toward the gate.

As I stepped, I started to think...

And the sentence Mr. Samuel uttered lingered in my mind. That sentence kept circling in my head, growing with every step I took.

Is it true that Mr. Rasyid is the cause of all this?

Then what is his purpose?

Isn't he just a money-hungry and goddamn try to reach easy life person?

Eh, that nickname is no longer relevant now.

Progressively, I saw who that teacher really was, even considering him a good and dignified person.

Indeed, he had another side, which I could consider very terrifying if known, but I never thought he would go this far.

I still remember how he liked the figures of the Three Kingdoms characters, and I clearly remember how sad he was when his figure broke, even though I only heard it from Dahlia, but I was sure he was really sad.

Doesn't that mean he is just an ordinary human? So why does he have such a big secret?

I hope I get the answer when I meet him.

.......

Point of View: Hakam Surya

I am now in a situation where I have to choose.

When I saw the two of them quarrel, I realized this team was divided into two parts: those who only wanted to meet Mr. Rasyid, and those who wanted to eliminate Mr. Rasyid.

I'm confused about which side to choose.

I want to side with Mr. Rasyid; he has been generous in my life, and he is also the reason I am here now. But now, I am Mr. Stevent's servant; I can't suddenly ignore his orders.

In me, I strongly believe that Stevent will choose the second option.

He hates that teacher so much that he brings him up in every conversation. If he chooses that option, it wouldn't be surprising.

Whatever my choice later, I am determined to end it.

.......

Point of View: Moka Mahama

Something terrible has happened to Sophia, and if what Mr. Samuel said is true, then...

Moka clenched her fists tightly, her previously confused face turning red with anger.

I have disappointed Sophia once, and I won't make the same mistake again. This is my punishment for failing to save her at that time.

.......

Point of View: Marika Tasya

Do I have to face Rasyid?

How would Erika feel if she knew?

Would she be angry?

Would she be sad?

Or rather... happy?

Negative thoughts began to cloud her mind.

No, no, this is all just an illusion!

As I walked, I could only bite my finger. I just need to confirm it with Rasyid.

Is he a person in need of a hand?

Was his happy face at the Victory Celebration Party a lie?

.......

Point of View: Samuel Yu Cheng

This is all just a game of the government, I know that.

But still, knowing that Rasyid is the core point, I am shocked.

I never expected him to do this without any humanity.

If I meet him, and his answer is ridiculous, then I won't hesitate to make him disappear.

'My electrical magic will definitely finish him off.'

I know what it takes to eliminate someone, but I am not sure about my readiness.

Whenever I think about it, my hands tremble more, and I may not be able to pull the trigger.
